More celebrating to do...

We had such a great time celebrating Chad's birthday yesterday, and we continue today by celebrating our eighth wedding anniversary!!

It was eight years ago today that we stood before many friends and our families and promised to have and to hold each other from that day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; until death parts us. We've been through all these things (well, maybe not the richer - ha!!!) and I can honestly say that our love has grown through it all. I am so thankful that we both know the Lord and I am thankful for a husband that challenges me to grow to know Him more. I just don't know how people make it without HIM!

It was the perfect day and was just as I had always dreamed it would be. I've said before that eight years ago I don't think we had any idea the things that we would face as a couple...but I'm thankful for all that the Lord has done and will continue to do in our lives as we put our trust in Him and wait on His perfect timing.

This was what the photographers called the "looking to the future" shot, and that's what we're doing. Remembering all the ways that God has blessed us over these last eight years, and looking forward with eager expectation to all that He is going to do in the years ahead.
