The morning after surgery I was shocked that I was seeing 20/20! Could not believe it. I had never known what it was like to be able to see my alarm clock (or anything, really) without glasses or contacts. I was free!
They told me all along that there was a chance of my vision regressing, and that if it did there really wouldn't be anything they could do about it. Fast forward to a couple of years ago when I started sitting in front of a computer all. day. long. and started noticing my vision getting slightly blurry.
I went for an eye exam and sure enough, I needed glasses for working on the computer. It was a sad day. Granted my vision was about 20/30 then, but still. ;-) I wore my glasses at work but could get away with not wearing them any other time. Well, over these past two years of working at a computer (stupid job!) I've noticed that it has regressed even more and I have needed to wear my glasses constantly. I've been dealing with annoying headaches from my eyes straining and I could not take it anymore. It was time to update the rx.
So, my new glasses came in yesterday and I can see clearly now! It makes me a little sad that I am needing them all the time, but then I remind myself of what I used to have to deal with and this really isn't so bad.
I love my new frames, even though it took me months to make a decision. (Indecisive much?) I even ordered rx sunglasses. Man, does that make me feel old!
And, I realize that this has been the longest, most boring post about my vision, so I apologize for the minutes of your life that you have wasted and will never get back ;-)
Hope you all have a blessed Easter weekend. Tomorrow is Friday, but Sunday's coming!!
Your glasses look great, though!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look good in glasses. Sadly I do not. I had lasik about 5 years ago too, I still have 20/20 vision but I have issues with glare and floaters.
