We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our Risen Savior! I hope that you did as well. Of course, we should always be thankful for the cross, but this time of year in particular makes us especially mindful. My debt has been paid and I'm forever thankful!
We had a little Easter egg hunt with our playgroup buddies. They were all were so cute trying to figure things out. Kinley and Emery got the hang of opening the eggs and eating what was inside. They were just too busy doing that to actually hunt for the eggs. Ha!
The cutest little bunnies I've ever seen!
I'm so thankful for these sweet friends and their precious little ones!
The Easter egg hunt had to be inside because it was raining, so just imagine mass chaos as all the kiddos ran around the garage looking for their eggs. We had to leave abruptly because someone, ahem Kinley, threw a major fit. While trying to get my screaming child to the car, in the pouring rain, I dropped her Easter bucket and every egg fell to the ground and cracked open. Aghhhh! Parenting sure is humbling, huh?!
Sunday mornings are hard for us with Chad leaving earlier and staying later than us. I was determined to get at least one picture, and thankfully my mom was able to get one decent shot of us as a family of four!
My babies have grown so much since last year. =(
Trying to get pictures with/of these two silly girls is quite a challenge. But, oh how I love them!
Lastly, we took advantage of the time off that Chad had for Easter weekend and updated our kitchen counter tops and back splash. I am loving my "new" kitchen!

"Oh praise The One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead!"
I love the picture with all the moms and their babies. You have both arms full. What a sweet answer to prayer and a reminder that our God is faithful.
ReplyDeleteThe girls look precious! At least I know I'm not the only one who has a toddler who likes throwing 'fits' these days. Some days are better than others!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, pictures are tough these days for sure!
Hope to see you next wednesday!
Your girls are so precious. And your new kitchen is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteY'all are the CUTEST little family! Those girls are precious and I know you're enjoying every second. And yes, parenting is VERY humbling. ;)
ReplyDeleteLook at how much difference a year makes!!!!
ReplyDelete#1: The girls have grown SO MUCH in just a year. #2: You look fabulous and so tan! #3: I LOVE your new kitchen!! Makes me want to update mine. I'll have Alex get right on that. HAHA! #4: LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU AND ALEX SAID WE'RE COMING TO SEE YOU THIS YEAR!!! And yes, I just screamed that. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet girls your babies are becoming! I have a question, bc we too want to update our countertops, did you do the granite over the existing, or pull off old counters & install granite? Just wondering which is best, bc I know it's expensive, messy, & time consuming.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
Rebecca
Happy Belated Easter. Almost every day I have a humbling parenting moment among the moments of extreme joy! Thank you for keeping it real :) And I cannot believe how much the girls have grown since last Easter. Wow!
