We had a lovely Mother's Day weekend! We celebrated on Friday evening with my mom and sister. I am so thankful for them!
I will never forget the dread and ache that would fill my heart in years past at this time. I remember that this is not always a joyful time for everyone, for various reasons, so my prayers were with those still hurting. The weight of what God has done for me by giving me these two precious miracles is especially heavy on this weekend.
These two beauties made me what I longed for years to be...a mom.
They will never know the depth of my love for them or the joy that they brought to my hurting heart. I could not ask for two more precious gifts!
Chad is so good about making me feel loved and appreciated every day, and this day was no exception. We ended our evening by going to get a popsicle treat...one of our favorite things to do!

I am so proud to be their mom! Never could I have imagined how they would change me. My heart just about bursts every time I look at them. They are my dream come true times two!
I'm glad you had a Happy Mother's Day! It can be such a joyful day with kids and such a painful day for those who don't have kids or their mothers around. I think you did a good job of summing up some of the complicatedness of this holiday.
