Christmas 2009

Boy, was it just me or did Christmas sneak up really quickly this year? And, it went by just as quickly too. With working full time, there just wasn’t a lot of time to prepare for things and all of the sudden, Christmas was here!

We had a great couple of days spent with our families. Christmas Eve we spent with Chad’s family (didn’t get any pictures) and had fun watching our nephew open up his present from us. We got him a Match B*ox truck that he LOVED! He said “I love my new big truck. Can I sleep with it?” So cute!

This year we really simplified things and only did gifts for the kids. This is the tree at my parents house on Christmas morning. Yep, that’s all for E!

It’s a shame nobody loves that girl, huh?

She informed us that she wanted “a my l*ttle p*ny, a baby doll (and when we told her that she already had baby dolls, she said she “wanted all the babies” Ha!), and an abc thing”. And that’s what she got =)

Here is miss thing with the first of her babies. I think this was the favorite though….she carried that thing around ALL day!

We had a wonderful day celebrating with the ones we love the only reason we have to celebrate….Jesus’ birth. Without Him, we have no hope. But I’m so thankful that He was born to die so that we might live. Thank you Jesus!

Under Construction!

After working on other clients fun designs, I was itching to work on a new one for my blog. Everything is not settled yet, so please pardon the "dust" as I finish things up!

Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!!!

Christmas Card Carousel - 2009!

Welcome to the Christmas Card Carousel! I’m so glad you stopped by. Giving and receiving Christmas cards is one of my very favorite parts of the Christmas season!

This year, putting our Christmas Card together was a lot harder for me than before. My brother took some awesome photos of us recently and I knew that I wanted to use one, however deciding which one was the hard part! I think I came up with about four or five different card designs and debated and debated over which one to use.
It was such a hard decision, but I finally decided on this design. It was a little different for me, but I really liked it and was excited about using it for our card this year.

BUT, I was so disappointed when our prints came in and there was a big green dot on my nose – and as much as I love polka dots, it was not supposed to be there! So, I had them reprinted, and they came messed up, AGAIN!
We were getting down to the wire so I couldn’t take a chance on having them printed again, so I decided to go with one of the other designs.
So, this is what went in the mail and I love it too!
We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas! May you know the peace, love and joy that’s found in Christ alone.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Now, it’s your turn to join in the fun and share your Christmas card with us. I can’t wait…I’m off to visit now!

Christmas Tour of Homes - 2009!

Welcome to our home! I'm so glad you stopped by. I love our house when it's decorated for Christmas. The warm glow of the lights, the colors, the sparkle....it's just so pretty!

We got a new tree last year and I love it even more than I remembered! It is taller than the one we had before and has a different kind of branch mixed in.

The color scheme on our tree is red and gold. I have a lot of red and gold glass balls and then some other things mixed in. This red and gold gift box is one of my favorites. I got it two years and wish I had gotten several more...

And, I'm all about the red berry picks scattered throughout. Love them! I need to get a few more picks and add them to my bow tree topper...it needs a little more help =)

I made new stockings for us last year and I love them so much. I had fallen in love with the ones from BaIIard's but needed to do them on a budget so this was my attempt at them. Of course, I was praying that by this time we would have a name (or two) to add to them, but.....we are still waiting. Oh, how I pray that this will be the last Christmas that goes by....

Tonight...

We'll be spending the evening here...

I am so excited and cannot wait to worship the Lord and celebrate His birth. Travis is a worship leader like no other and anytime that he is anywhere nearby, or not so near, I will be there!

Jennababe, I'll be thinking of you and wishing you were worshipping right beside me tonight!
