Who's ready to party for the 4thof July???? Miss Priss is!
We had a great weekend hanging out with sweet friends for the fourth! On Friday night we got together with our dear friends from our old church and it was so great to spend time with them. I hate that I don't have any pictures from that night, but I forgot my camera! We had a great time grilling out then we went to a local park for a carnival and fireworks. It was such a fun night and the weather was perfect!
On Saturday night we got together with some friends from our new church. We had the girl with us and she was so excited to go to Bo-Neat-Tah's (Bonita's) house. As soon as we got there she was looking for the kitty cats.
She found the Sassy-girl!
The weather was once again beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio and chatting.
After our yummy meal, we moved out to the garage and played a bit of table shuffleboard. It was lots of fun, but lets just say it wasn't my strongest sport ;-) We played girls against guys and unfortunately we were not victorious that time. We'll get them next time though!
Monica (our sweet Brazilian friend), Miss E, and me
Y'all, I know I am biased, but is she not the cutest thing ever?!?!?!?!
Dessert time!! We were also celebrating Rico's birthday and his sweet wife, Monica, made a DELICIOUS chocolate coconut cake for him. Oh my, it was so good!!
After dessert we moved into the living room and had a little impromptu concert! Jen played some for us on the piano. Here's a little Heart and Soul action going on!

We had a wonderful weekend and are so incredibly blessed! As we celebrated the freedom we have here, we couldn't help but be so grateful for all that has been sacrificed so that we can have these freedoms. Our dear friend, Eric, is one who is doing just that right now. We miss him so much and are so thankful for all that he is doing for our country. We are so proud of him!
Hope you all had a fabulous fourth!!!
