Our God Saves!

That is the title of one of my favorite songs from Travis Cottrell's new cd. (If you haven't gotten it yet, GO! Go get it now!) Aren't you so thankful that our God still longs to seek and save the lost?

We were blessed to see this firsthand last week at our home fellowship group. This is an awesome group of people and I am always amazed at the ways that God works among us. Last week, we had our home fellowship group at some friends house that have a pool. We had a big pool party and cookout and were having a great time fellowshipping with each other.

One of our members invited his cousin who has really been struggling lately. He's been battling some addictions and was really trying to get his life back together and on the right track. That night, the Lord truly broke him and he ended up praying to receive Christ! And, it just so happened (yeah right;-)) that we had water close by and he wanted to get baptized right then. God is just the coolest!!

We praise you Lord! You are good and Your mercies endure forever. We thank You that You desire for all to come to repentance and to be saved. May You receive all the glory that is due Your Name!!

  4. Oh, Faith, what an awesome story and thanks for sharing it with us. We need to be reminded of how God works in so many ways. I am so thankful for this new Christian and will pray for God to bind Satan who will be very unhappy, of course. You obviously have a wonderful small group. Praise God!

Hopefully the newly baptised people continue their walk in the Lord. That all of you keep studying the Bible and find further Truth.
