Going Deeper Still...

I had such an incredible weekend at Deeper Still and I have been reflecting on so much that was said since then. God showed up and spoke in such awesome ways and I have been trying to let it all soak in. I was really looking forward to going to hear Beth M00re because I had never heard her speak live before, however I was blown away by how much I loved the other speakers, especially Mrs. Kay....she was amazing! I'm telling you, that woman knows her some scripture. It is no joke when I say that every other sentence out of her mouth was a Bible verse. Oh, to have that much of God's Word hidden in my heart....

The biggest thing that stuck out to me during Kay's teaching on Hebrews was her explanation of rest. She said that rest is when you take what He says in His Word and unite it with faith. Know the Word of God and then BELIEVE what His Word says and that He is able to do it!! Loved it!

Then, Saturday morning we heard a teaching from Priscilla and she was ON FIRE, let me tell you! Wow, what a blessing she was to me. She taught on Ephesians 3:20-21, verses that I've loved for quite some time, but I don't think I'll ever look at them the same way again. She broke these verses down literally word by word and I just want to share it with you...

~Now - a specific time, RIGHT now is the time to believe God

~unto Him - a turning. We have to make a decision to shift our attention away from our circumstances and to Him. She said that having Him in our view will greatly change our perspective on our circumstances. We have to choose to do this, it doesn't just happen naturally. So true...

~who is able to do - a truth. Whether or not He chooses to do what you're asking is His business - it's not about His ability but about His sovereignty - choosing to believe He is able is your business. She also said to picture this: "who is able to do (for you)" So many times we see and hear about what God has done in other people's lives, but we don't think that He will do that for us. I could really relate to that and I'm so glad that she reminded me that He's not just able, He has a heart that's willing to do for me!! I'm so thankful for that!

~exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond - a transcendence. There are no limits to what God is able to do. He is able to go beyond whatever limits we have, and can even go beyond the beyond! Praise Him!! Putting God in the "boxes" that we do does not limit God's activity, it just limits our awareness of God's activity. Priscilla says that she prays "God, I'm praying that You'll do what I'm asking You to do, or something better!" Don't you just love that?!?!

~all that we could ask or think - a totality. All means all! He is concerned about all that concerns you. Not just the big, but the small things too.

~according to the power that works within us - a turbo power. You don't just have His power living within you, it should be working within you. Flip the switch to the power that is available to you!

This was exactly what my fainting heart needed to hear. It gave me a renewed hope, increased my faith, and brought conviction and repentance of my unbelief. Isn't God good?

Then Miss Beth brought it when she taught on the bread of THE presence and how we are to feast on Him. To seek His Presence and His face - more than any blessing, more than anything else - seek Him. This was a continuation of some things that God has been showing me so much lately...church sermons, quiet times, target group, etc.... it has been everywhere! Time alone with Him is so extremely important and something that I simply cannot go without. I must make it a priority though.

Well, I was going to add some pics from the weekend, but I just accidentally deleted some pictures, including the shot of me, Jen, my mom and Deidre. I can't believe I just did that! Oh well...

Anyway, I hope that you all are having a great week. Can I tell you how thankful I am that it's almost over?!?!?!

My sister and a friend drove to NW Arkansas to hear Priscilla Shirer on a Friday night and Saturday morning last February. She was wonderful!
