Catch Up

Shame on me...what a terrible blogger I've been lately! Things have been busy but at the same time just nothing interesting enough to write about on here.

Here's a little rambling for ya:
~I've been working on things for my sister's bridal shower coming up. I have so many ideas of things that I want to do, just not enough time or money to get them done. Sigh...

~I took a photography class recently and learned so much. But, would you believe that I have not taken one picture since the class?!? I will be doing a newborn shoot this Sunday and I'm anxious to try some new things!

~I've been working on Miss E's Easter dress and I can't wait until it's finished. I've messed up several measurements on projects for her lately and it has taken me so much longer than it should. I just wish I could get things right the first time. Ha!

~We've been talking about LOVE for the past few weeks in our youth group. It has truly been eye-opening for so many and our prayer was that the students would view love, dating, s*ex, purity, etc. the way that God does. I don't believe that the church talks about this often enough and we have realized that we should have been talking about these issues long before now. Students are searching and they are questioning. It has been a great time together.

~I've found myself in a season of discouragement lately in our journey to parenthood. I am in a constant battle to walk by faith and not by sight. We are still praying and asking BIG of God and believing that His best is on the way. My flesh just wants it to be SOON ALREADY! ;-)

Happy Hump Day!

  1. It must be in the air - I am definitely having a major faith battle these days, on the road to parenthood. So many others with babies, pregnancies, and adoptions... leaving me feeling completely left behind. I will pray for an extra dose of peace for you in the coming weeks!

  2. I was so excited to see a post from you!! :)

Okay, so will you share some tips with me after you take the newborn pics?? I may be taking some for a friend and know nothing.

You are so right about the topic of LOVE with our teens. You and Chad and are doing an awesome job in teaching your youth what God says about the subject. Praying hearts are open and changed in that area!!

And as for you becoming a Mommy...you know where I'm at on that one. Right by you...lifting you up in prayer daily. I think of Moses and how he became so tired he couldn't hold his arms up any longer - so his friends stepped in and held his arms up for him. I want to be your Aaron...I want to hold you up when you're too tired to do it yourself...believing when you can't. I'm trusting He will do it.

    Love you dearly.

  4. Still praying for you Faith. I put up a post today about Bethany Christian services. Check them out, or check out my post. It was such a great encourager to me when I found myself discouraged in our own journey to parenthood.

  8. Interesting that Jill mentioned holding up your arms. We just studied Aaron and Moses in the Tabernacle study and I love that picture of Aaron standing along side Moses as the battle was fought. The Lord woke me up in the middle of the night this past weekend to pray so I prayed for YOU! I love you! I miss you but I know that we are both where God wants us to be. NEVER forget that I am always here!

  9. I know exactly how those parenthood thoughts feel! I am a recent reader, so I haven't had a chance to read your story yet, but I'll definitely add you guys to my prayer list!

Love that you are talking with your youth about love and everything that goes with it! I personally think it's a topic that is overlooked entirely too often, so kids look for answers elsewhere. What a wonderful way to give them Godly advice before they venture out!
