Twins Are A Hoot ~ Baby Shower

I woke up Saturday morning with tears in my eyes. Not tears of sadness, but tears of joy. It was a day that I had long awaited and prayed for. And, a day that at times I thought might never come. But it was here...my first baby shower!

I knew that my sister had been hard at work on all the little details of the day. She would text me periodically to let me know that I was going to be proud of how crafty she had been ;-) I wasn't sure what all she was working on, but I was so excited to see.

I was blown away by the cuteness when I walked in the room. It was the most beautiful baby shower I'd ever seen! I could hardly contain myself and the tears started flowing again.

Beautiful diaper cake that my sister made and the adorable beverage station. How cute are the mason jars with the monogram tags?!
The table centerpieces were beautiful hydrangeas in a mason jar and there were advice cards for our guests to fill out. We received lots of great tips from our wise friends and family. And, my sister made this precious bookmark for the guests to take home. I have one in my Bible and I love it so much!
I was dying over the precious pink dress napkins. So cute!!
Adorable twins banner with both of the girls monograms. Love!
The buffet of food was not only beautiful but incredibly delicious.

We were abundantly blessed by our generous guests.
We received so many wonderful things, both practical and precious =)

Just a few of the dear friends that were there.
Guess who drove all the way from Florida?! My sweet friend Mandi! She has been such an encouragement to me throughout our journey to parenthood. We met through our blogs years ago and I'm so thankful for the friendship that God has given us. It was so special to have her here to celebrate with us!
I was so thankful to have Stephanie at the shower as well. She came in from Nashville and I was so excited to hug her neck. Stephanie and her husband, JD, were our Sunday School teachers before Chad and I were even married. We started out in their "Nearly-Newlywed" class. They are so special to us and we love them so much!
More sweet blogging friends...Rachel, Ashley (private blog), Mandi and Betsy!
The fabulous hostesses! So thankful for the part that each one of them played to make this day so special.
Me with my sister and mom and my sister-in-law and mother-in-law.
The most special part of the morning was this prayer and praise time. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.
Kinley and Emery, you have been prayed for by SO many for SO long. You are SO special and SO loved already!

I know that surreal feeling to finally see your prayers for a child come to pass. God is so very good. Just wait until you drive around the first time with those 2 precious girls in the backseat - something you always dreamed of doing. You are going to be a fantastic Mom!!
