Emery and Kinley - 3 months

My sweet, darling daughters how can you be three months old already?! The days go by so fast. I realize this now more than ever and I want to make every effort to be fully present and enjoy each second that I have to spend with you. You both have the squishiest, softest cheeks and I just want to kiss them all day long. Some days I do. =) I am so incredibly thankful for the opportunity I have to be home with you both each day. We are so blessed!

Waking up to your precious faces each morning is the best thing in the world. I get so excited to see you both because I know you're going to give me the biggest smiles that just melt my heart. Even if you wake up crying, as soon as you see your daddy or me you immediately start grinning. Best. Feeling. Ever. Seeing you recognize us and follow us with your eyes now is so special.

You're wearing 0-3 and some 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers. I've had fun going through your closet and finding new things for you to wear. Although, I packed up more of your newborn clothes recently and cried. I just can't part with some things so I'm hanging on to them and will make a quilt some day.

You've both found your hands recently and love to put them in your mouth. I'll hear loud smacking and look over to see you sucking on your fingers. And, you'll also rub your eyes when you're sleepy. So cute! It's hard to get a picture of you both that's not blurry. You are constantly moving. Those legs are pumping and arms moving all around all the time!

You still nurse every three hours during the day with playtime and naps in between. We recently tweaked our schedule and dropped the last feeding of the night. You are now going to bed around 9pm and sleep anywhere from 7-8am. You're still swaddled but I think we will transition out of it soon. If either one of you gets out of your swaddle you'll wake up, but will go back to sleep quickly. With the new schedule changes we also decided to move you to your cribs in your room! It was a big deal for mommy, and she still checks on you several times, but you're both doing great!

This month the weather has been a little crazy. You saw your first snow (from the back door) and Daddy made a warm, cozy fire for us to enjoy on a freezing cold night.
We've also had mild, Spring like days and we were able to enjoy a little time outside.
I think you girls liked your first walk around the neighborhood!
You're doing great with tummy time and will tolerate around 4-5 minutes now. You've also both rolled from your tummy to your back!

You don't see the doctor this month so here are your approximate stats:

Kinley:
Weight: about 10lbs
 Height: about 22.5 inches
Dear Kinley,
My sweet, precious girl you are such a blessing. You have the sweetest smile that will just melt me and your daddy's heart every time we see it. As soon as you see us in the morning you smile so big and squint your little eyes. It's the cutest thing! You're starting to "talk" a lot more. You make little gurgles and sound like you're saying "ah goo". I wish I knew what you were trying to say! You love to look at yourself in any mirror. It's adorable to see you smile and talk to yourself. You're getting stronger every day. You were the first one to roll over from your tummy to your back, and you've done it once again since then. You're really starting to like your paci and take it often. We've seen more of your real tears this month and they just break my heart. You are a great sleeper and can sleep through a lot - even your sisters screams. It amazes me. Kinley, you bring such joy to everyone who is around you. I love you more than you'll ever know!

Emery:
Weight: about 10lbs
 Height: about 22.5 inches
Dear Emery,
Oh, my darling Emery Grace, you are so much fun! You still have such expressive eyes and I just love to stare into them. You have the biggest, sweetest smile that takes over your whole face and I just love it! You are talking up a storm and have so much to say. You love to talk to me at night when you're supposed to be eating. But, it's okay, they are the sweetest sounds to my ears. You're growing to like your paci a little more but it has to be your idea to take it. We switched you back to the kind we started out with and you seem to like it better. You are really strong and have now rolled from your tummy to your back several times! I'm so proud of you and how you're growing. You are a good sleeper and  are typically the first one awake in the morning and at nap time. I love everything about your sweet and sassy personality. You are my precious girl and I love you more than you'll ever know!
