Father's Day 2013

As excited as I was to be able to celebrate Mother's Day this year, I was maybe even more excited to get to celebrate my amazing husband on Father's Day. Finally! As hard as the years of infertility were on me, they were equally hard on him. He was just beaming all morning long. My heart swelled with joy to see him stand proud as a "father of two" when that time came during church. I've waited a long time for that!

Once he got home from the second church service the girls and I gave him our gifts. We gave him some of our family pictures framed and a painted canvas with the girls footprints to hang in his office. (I didn't get any pictures.)

I always knew that Chad would be the most incredible father, and seeing him with our girls leaves absolute no doubt. Kinley and Emery could not be more blessed to have him as their daddy. He loves all of his girls well and works so hard to provide for us. We love him more than words can ever say!!

  1. Oh I love this! I am so happy that Chad had such a great first father's Day! I am sure he loved canvas with the footprints on it. Such a sweet idea :)

  2. I think, that when it comes to infertility, the men often get short shrift. Happy First Father's Day to Chad!!!
