Random things

So, the blog has really been struggling lately! I guess you could say it's somewhat of a reflection on the blog's author. I've been having a hard time getting used to the fact that I don't have to be up at a certain time or be at a certain place on a certain day, etc. It's nice, but at the same time just different.

I've also had some discouraging days as we continue to wait on the Lord for our baby. Oh, it's just SO not fun and I have to keep myself from throwing a big pity party every now and then! I was so thankful to read this post by my sweet friend Heather, that really kicked me in the rear. God has been dealing with me on this, and I am so grateful for what He is showing me. Please continue to pray for us and that God would work supernaturally in our lives. We need a miracle from Him and we know He alone is able!

To lighten things up a bit, here's some pictures of the cutest little girl who got promoted to THREE year old Sunday School this week! What??? How can this be possible??? The girl is getting so big!!

E and NaNa

E and her buddy Hayes in their new classroom. Aren't they cute?? I'm telling you I could eat that Hayes up with a spoon!

Here's a couple of things I've been working on....LOVE the font on this bib! It would be so cute in blue and brown, and so many other colors too! Fun, fun!

I thought this saying was so funny (and true for me!)

The weekend is almost here! And, I cannot believe it is almost Labor Day! Do ya'll have any big plans?

  6. Faith-
I'm so sorry you have been hurting and having these struggles. It is uplifting though when we receive encouragement and reminders from God's word like you have received. I just finished writing you and Chad down in my daily prayer journal and I am praying for a baby but I am also praying for your emotions and all that can entail. I know in my experience it is sometimes the emotional/spiritual battle that can take more of the tole on you than having an empty womb. God is good and we have to remind ourselves HIS way is perfect. You are a beautiful creation of His. Be encouraged today!! Love Ya!

  9. Faith- I love you and I am praying so hard for God to make our mountains into roads! I am in a perpetual pity party- really- and God is continually trying to get me to rejoice and trust Him in the waiting. Man, it is not easy.
I love Lianna's comment- and I, too, cannot wait until we are all blogging about the miracles God has done. (remember Hannah's song in 1 Samuel!!)
Emma is DARLING and that shirt and necklace you have on in the pic is precious, too! You both look so pretty for church!
Love you, friend. Believing God for us today!

  11. My sweet Faith,

It is my natural instinct as your mother to want to "fix" whatever is wrong in "my little girl's" life. My heart grieves with you over your desire for a child and I wish that there was something that I could do to make that desire a reality. What I can promise to do is to continue to cover you in prayer and wait with you on God's perfect timing. I know that it is so hard, but I KNOW God has a miracle in store for you and Chad! I believe it with ALL my heart! I can hardly wait until that day because God is going to receive all the praise and honor and glory for what He has done! He will have chosen to bless 2 of His most faithful servants. I love you both so much! Mom

  16. A couple of week ago, our church had baby dedication and our pastor made a point to remind us all of the families that are waiting to become pregnant and/or adopt a baby. I just wanted you to know our entire church prayed for those families, and I specifically thought about all of my blog friends that are waiting. I know it has to be so hard. I am thankful of a God that can still perform miracles. We have seen that with Kelly. I will keep praying sweet friend.

I could eat that Emma up with a spoon! She is so cute!

The bib is adorable and the saying on that towel could go for me as well! Ha! HUGS!

Here is one of my favorite quotes I have hanging on a plaque in my bathroom: "This day was a total waste of make-up."

  21. Faith - I read today that Stephanie is pregnant and I just started immediately sobbing because she has been on my heart so much to pray for her and I'm so excited to see God continue to answer my prayers. You have been someone else who I wake up in the middle of the night and just pray for. I have great expectancy that any day I am going to click over here to see you announcing good news! God has given me a heart that is full of hope because of all the answered prayers He has done.
Still praying for you every day!
