~ I did laundry today and will now have clean sheets on the bed tonight. LOVE!!!
~ We had the best dinner last night...ham steak, fried okra with Cajun seasoning (that's the ticket right there!) and horseradish mashed potatoes that Chad made (he rocks!)
~ Tonight I'm eating leftovers ;-)
~ I went fabric shopping today with my new friend Heather (the creator of the awesome pics you've seen) and had so much fun looking at all the new fabrics. It made me miss the store SO much and wish so badly that I could still be doing what I used to. The new lines from Amy and Heather are so pretty I just want to lay down on the floor and roll around in them!
~ After all my looking around, I only bought two fat quarters and a yard of ribbon...what is wrong with me???
~ I am looking forward to my accountability group tonight. I love these girls so much and I am so thankful that the Lord brought them into my life. I really don't know what I would do without them. And, I really don't want to have to find out.
~ Speaking of my girls, will you please pray for the mother-in-law of one of them...she just found out that she has cancer. We are asking the Lord for healing and specifically that the cancer not have spread to her lymph nodes. Our God is the Great Physician!
~ Does anyone have any fabulous ideas for jewelry storage??? Mine is a big mess in a box right now and needs some serious help. How do y'all store all of your necklaces and such??
~ I called E tonight and she wouldn't talk to me =( What has happened since she turned three???
~ This weekend is the Christmas open house at the store where our little booth is. I am really praying that we are busy and sell lots of stuff!! However, I'm going to keep my eye on things because in the past week I've had two, count 'em two, kitchen towels STOLEN!! What on earth people??? Are you really that bad off that you need to steal a kitchen towel??? I oughta pray that it just falls apart when you wipe your hands on it. Ha!
Well, that's enough rambling for now. Hope y'all have had a great week!

I loved your update! :) YUM that dinner sounds so good. I've been looking at your mom's recipe blog and I have decided that I need to move closer to ya'll! :) Ya'll eat some GOOD food!!!
ReplyDeleteUGH about someone stealing kitchen towels! I used to work in retail and hated dealing with that part of it! I would have to say, "did you want to buy that lipstick you just put in your purse?" ha!!!
Hope you have a great rest of the week and a wonderful weekend! :)
Praying for you EVERY day!!! :)
I bought little hooks & hung them in the walls of closet & hang my necklaces on that ---- easy to grab one when I figure what I'm wearing too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I will pray for your friends mom....cancer is just devestating news to hear.
And my nieces who turned 4 a few weeks ago now are "too busy" to talk on the phone with me...what's up with that?
Your dinner sounds so good! Love the idea of adding the cajun seasoning! I pray your booth does awesome this weekend. So looking forward to Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend! Kara - John 3:30
I LOVE fried okra but I've never had it with cajun seasoning. Do you sprinkle it on the okra after you've rolled your okra in corn meal or flour? It's does sound yummy!!! I'll add your friends mom-in-law to my prayer list. I know what you mean about the little ones not wanting to talk. Somedays they will and somedays it's like "whose Mimi and what does she want"!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great update!
ReplyDeleteDinner sounds AMAZING! YUM!!
I love fabric shopping too!
I am so glad you have a great accountability group, and I'll be praying for your friend's Mom.
I had the same problem with jewelry last year. I went to Home Goods and picked out a jewelry armoire that is beautiful! It's not very big, but makes a pretty addition to the bedroom! It has GREAT storage. I think it was about $150...not bad!
Hope that your Christmas open house goes well this weekend. I too have a jewelry problem. I haven't liked any of the jewelry boxes or pieces of jewelry box furniture so I've sadly been using those little plastic 3 drawer things. I think I have found my solution though. I have seen the hanging jewelry boxes that have a long mirror on the outside and you open it like a door and it's a place to store your jewelry. So neat! Let me know if you find something else that works for you! Have a Fabulous Friday!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you posted...it's been a LONG time.
ReplyDeleteI know this sounds crazy, but I have hammered a few nails in my cabinet under the sink....I hang my necklaces on those. No one sees and it works well...soooo.
I can't beieve that someone stole your towels....all you can do is think that they MUST have felt as if they REALLY needed them :(
Have a great weekend!

I love fried okra - yum!!
ReplyDeleteAbout Emma, such is the life of a three year old. It gets tougher to win their affection the older they get :( They just get so busy, they can't be bothered with conversation - ha ha.
That fried okra sounds so yummy. I agree with the whole three year old thing.. My niece has her moods too, but most of the time they are so adorable... I wish my niece lived closer than she does. Glad to see the update.. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletethat dinner does sound good...just curious btw...what is the accountability group you were talking about?
ReplyDeleteI loved this post! I have a jewelery armoire, it's pretty, lots of storage and it was only around $30! The horseradish potatos sound yummy! I went fabric shopping today too! I got a couple remnants :) I'm laughing at your towel comments, but I'm so sorry they were stolen!!
ReplyDeleteI love a good Faith ramble, because I ADORE the rambler!!

ReplyDeleteCarrie
You crack me up! I made a bulletin board with ribbon and push pins and hung it in my closet for my necklaces...then I use my big box for bracelets, and got a couple of little decorative boxes for earrings.
ReplyDeleteLove you friend! Have a great weekend!
I always have a jewlery dilemma. My husband got me a really large jewlery box which contains most of my stuff, but my necklaces are the hardest things to store. They are crammed into it and I need more room! I do have a special thing I made to hang on the wall out of screen material with wood for the frame - it holds all my earrings and I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteYour meal sounded delicious!!!
faith,
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know someone else think in quick thought like i do. I thought I was the only one who did that..
