A little Idol blogging

It's my first attempt at live blogging! I'm not sure if I can hang with some you funny peeps, but I'll give it a try.

It's Motown night. Woot-woot! I see some Sm0key R0binson y'all. And, they're singing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough"....I think we're in for a good night.

Matt Giraud - "Let's Get It On" - Ooh, I really like this song ;-) That mug can sing and I love his falsetto. He's really reminding me of Timberl@ke tonight. Great job Matt, you go on with your tight pants self!

Paula's hair is exceptionally flat tonight. I'm not feeling it, or the tutu

I'm not used to watching commercials...we're back live!

Kris Allen - "How Sweet It Is" - What the heck kinda shirt is he wearing? Did he steal it from the military? I'm liking the guitar playing though. The last note was cool. I liked it a lot.

Apparently he needs to be more conceited. Hmmm. Yes, there you go Kris...you can have confidence without conceit

Scott MacIntyre - "You Can't Hurry Love" - Are those pink pants, and a paisley shirt, and a striped jacket? Wow. Starting off a little too slow for my taste, oh wait here we go. Y'all, I don't know if I'm liking this.

And, Simon agrees with me. That explains it, they didn't tell him his pants were pink until 10 minutes before the show. Poor guy!

Megan Joy - "For Once In My Life" - Get ready for the awkward twirling. Wait, she's finally holding the microphone in her hand and not using that stand to leave her hands free for flailing....thank you! Love the necklace, not so much the dress. Oh dear, she's cute and all, but I'm just not a big fan.

Noop Dawg - "Ooh,-oooh Baby, Baby" - Love the song, love the performance, love him! Not much more to say. That was good!

Michael Sarver - "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" - He's gonna "church it up", let's see how that works for him. He does have a big voice and I think he's doing okay so far. Lots of interaction with audience. Uh-oh, that ending didn't sound too great and he is now hacking up a lung. That can't be good.

Ok, if Paula doesn't like it, you're in trouble buddy. Doesn't get any better with Simon. Or Randy. Or Kara.

Lil Rounds - "Heat Wave" - Whoa, she grew some hair. I don't think I can focus on the singing because I'm too distracted by the hair and the dress. I've heard a little pitchiness though. What happened to Lil? I think she's lost some of her game the past couple of weeks.

I agree with Kara.

Adam Lambert - "Tracks of My Tears" - This can't be Adam. Who is this and what have they done with him? Adam, I like taking a good look at your face without all that eyeliner and mess on. I'm a fan of the unplugged Adam. That was really good.

The judges think so too!

Danny Gokey - "Get Ready" - When Smokey gives you some advice, I'm thinking it would behoove you to take it. He didn't though, did he? Everybody knows the boy can sing. I do like him, but I'm loosing a little love for him. Not sure why...

Allison Iraheta - "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" - I like the little off beat clapping. She is one cool 16 year old and she rocked that!

And, she gets a blazin' hot from Randy! Did Simon really draw a mustache on Paula???? What on earth are they doing at that table? Oh.my.word!!!

My favorites of the night: Matt, Adam, and Allison

Least favorites: Scott, Megan and Lil

We'll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. That's all for tonight!

  15. Faith, your recap was really good. Enjoyed hearing your take on things. Especially since Jen was late! Didn't get to read hers until today.
I have to disagree with you on Megan. I really like her. She is so unique. However, last night's song wasn't too good.
And I felt for Scott and his pink pants. He seemed to be trying to explain at the end.
I like Kris too. He is so down-to-earth.

  18. I enjoyed your live update. Go KRIS.....he's from AR. He and I get our haircut at the same salon and a month ago we were there at the same time. He's sooooooo sweet. He is the music director for New Life Church.....I love that about him. Hope Hollywood doesn't change him. I also like Matt, Allison, and Adam.

  19. Oh I love your Idol blogging! I am loving Danny, Matt and Chris. I got bored with Michael's performance last night and left the room and forgot to watch the rest! I'm glad you recaped for me. :)

  21. You are so funny, Faith! I felt like I was just sitting right there beside you watching AI! I agree with you, too!

  22. You cracked me up with this post!!! I agree with you about Danny...and Lil...they are both losing a little bit of their game. I think that happens sometimes to "early favorites." People tend to like and latch on to people who grow and grow throughout the season. Can't wait for results tonight!
I'm off to check Jen's recap!

  25. You did a great job! I pretty much agree with you on everything. My favorites are Matt, Kris, Danny, Allison and Adam. You know I have been a fan of my man, Adam, from the get-go. I think he is extremely talented and I think he would "sell". I don't remember a year when they had more talent! There's really not anyone that I want to go home --they are ALL good!

Well I guess we will find out in just a little while!

  26. Loved your recap...I am glad that I found your blog. I hope you will stop by my blog for a visit.

I have a gift basket business and it is the most requested gift over the last 15 years.

From the comments I have already received, appears to be something a little different and something anyone could use.

I have been so touched by the comments that I have decided to give 2 boxes . They will be the $100 deluxe size.
I want my blog to encourage others. I have decided that giving is life at its BEST. The drawing will be Saturday!
