Scripture Memory Verse #5

It's that time again! I am loving this challenge of hiding more of God's Word in my heart. So many times He has reminded me of these verses and they have brought encouragement to my heart at just the right time.

My last verse was a continuation of 2 Corinthians 5:9-11 and I also added Romans 8:6 which says "For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace," I just love that and I am so thankful for His peace!

My next verses came from the sermon that our pastor preached today. I believe that these verses speak so much to what I'm going through right now and it is my prayer that my faith will be strengthened and found to be genuine, even in the midst of trials.

"In this (in it ALL) you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, " 1 Peter 1:6-7 NKJV (emphasis mine)

Praise God for His Word! It is alive and active and sharper than any two-edged sword. Amen!!

P.S. Thank you all for your sweet comments, encouragement and support on the new blog designing venture! I am working on coming up with a site for more info, pricing, etc and hope to have it up soon. If you have emailed me, I will be getting back with you ASAP. We've had a busy weekend and I'm trying to catch up, but I so appreciate your interest and support!

  2. Oh that was a perfect verse for so many trials we face. How often do you memorize a new verse? I seem to have my 'favorites' and really do need to take more time to memorize new scripture verses rather than just repeating those I know well. Thanks for "plantng that seed."

I also have 3 winners for you! I'm announcing them tomorrow morning, but I sent you a "sneak peek!" How lucky they are...and I know as I can't stop telling everyone I know how wonderful you are!!! :-)

  8. That was such a good sermon yesterday and there were a number of verses that the preacher touched on that I would like to memorize. I think I may have to add this one to my scripture memory cards for sure.

    I love you,
    Mom

  12. Hi Faith! OK, I couldn't wait any longer, I know you are so busy with blog orders, but I just had to put my order in for a gorgeous monogrammed bag! There is NO hurry though, so take care of all your other customers first, and then when time allows, you can work on my pretty lime green bag! It's just for fun for me, so there is no urgency. You are just so talented, creative, and wonderful! I'm still in love with my new blog design! You're the best! Love, Denise :-)
