Scripture Memory Verse #9

Continuing on in our Scripture Memory Verse Challenge, we are on to verse #9! I cannot tell you how much I have loved learning these verses and how God has used them in my life.

My last verse was...
"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded, YOU NEED TO PERSEVERE so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised." Hebrews 10:35-36 (NIV)

The Lord has brought that to mind so many times the past two weeks when I have been feeling particularly discouraged and tempted to give up. He has also shown me the words "persevere" and "press on" several times through other scriptures and songs, just to remind me again to keep going. I love how He does that!

This time, I really felt the Lord impressing on my heart to choose a scripture about love. We have been talking about love at church, and I have been very convicted that I am not loving others the way that I should. Last week, our pastor taught on how we receive God's love and give God's love will greatly determine our experience with Him when He returns - our appointment with Him.

So, the verse that I chose is...

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV)

Oh Lord, may I be known as Your child because of the love that I have for others. Show me how to love deeply...increase my love for you and others. I need You to love through me. Thank you for Your amazing love towards me!
