Have you guys ever heard of or played Dutch Blitz?
I can remember my family playing this game for years! When we would visit my grandmother in Georgia, I can remember staying up for hours and hours playing Dutch Blitz. Or should I say, we attempted to play, but pretty much got slaughtered by my grandmother every time….she sure can play some cards!
My mom had a deck that was pretty well worn out and we really didn’t play it that often, but several months back I was walking around the Christian Bookstore and saw it for sale and I immediately snatched it up. Now we have been blitz’n it up pretty much every opportunity we have!
Some games I follow in my grandmothers victorious footsteps….and other times I do not ;-) But it sure is fun regardless!

I used to play that game ALL the time and I loved it! Haven't played it for a while, though...maybe I should find my game and rope someone into playing with me! ;)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE Dutch Blitz! My husband's family is from PA and when we started dating we would play some, especially at family reunions! Now I play with a former Amish friend! But we haven't played for a year or so now....I miss it!

ReplyDeleteI have once before...I always play Nertz which is pretty much the same thing except its with regular cards!
ReplyDeleteIn highschool we used to play every single lunch hour! A group of about 8 of us would play doubles. We would shout and holler and have a blast!
