So Long Insecurity! (Part 2)

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to head to First Baptist Woodstock for the conference. I was a little worried that we wouldn’t be able to find a parking space because there were supposed to be so many women there, but it all worked out fine and there were parking spaces to spare when we arrived!

We made our way into the overflow and had a little time to kill so we took lots of pics with everyone.

Betsy, Ashley, and I

My roomies for the weekend. Love these two girls SOOO much!!! I’m sure you can just imagine all the fun that is to be had with these two around! But they are so much more than fun – they are the sweetest and most genuine girls and they love the Lord so much. I LOVED our conversations in the car and just sharing our hearts even more with one another. They are such a delight!!

Kelly and I – She is just as precious in person as you would imagine her to be. She was so gracious to all that approached her that day. We joked with her that we were with royalty, but she truly is the sweetest and most humble thing ever. She has been such a blessing in my life and I was so thankful for this time to spend with her!

Our fun group of girls. And, look who else was there….The Debster!! She came with some friends from her church but made her way over to the overflow to see us. She’s as cute as a button. And, what a neat thing to see sweet Julia with miracle #2 on the way! She was one of my first blog friends and I’ve prayed for her for a long time!

One thing that I was looking so forward to this weekend was meeting up with Jill. I have just grown to love her over these past couple of years of blogging and I was SO excited when she decided to make the long journey to Atlanta. Another sweet friend that I have prayed and prayed for, and now the Lord has blessed her with her precious Amelia!! She has also been a prayer warrior for me and for that I am so grateful. Look at her…is she not gorgeous?!?!

I loved every minute we were able to spend together. We had a sweet time of fellowship during our lunch and I enjoyed it so much. But, one of my favorite moments, and one that I will remember forever, was towards the end of the conference when Beth had us partner up and say the commissioning with one another. Jill and I were together and it was such a special time. We stood there with our hands grasped, tears filling our eyes and spoke those words of truth to each other. It was incredibly moving and I have no doubt that the Lord orchestrated that exact moment. Jill you are precious, my friend, and I love you dearly!!

After the conference was over we (along with the rest of Woodstock, GA!) headed back towards our hotel to grab some dinner. We unanimously decided on C0pelands and I was thrilled! We used to have them in our city, but they closed =(  I could not wait to taste their spinach and artichoke dip with fried bowtie pasta…yum!! It was so good and we had so much fun just hanging out!

We got back to the hotel and I got to love on my friend Mandi’s sweet boys! These pics were taken with my phone in poor lighting, but these boys are cute no matter what!  Jennababe had me in stitches when after Dillan reached his sweet little arms up to her and said “hold you”, she said “I need a husband and a baby and I NEED IT NOW!” Which was then followed by “my uterus just exploded!” Oh y’all, the girl is HILARIOUS!!

Then it was up bright and early Sunday morning to head to the airport. Our weekend had come to an end. =(  It was sad to say goodbye, but we are already talking about our next get-together! Isn’t God just the coolest for bringing us all together through the blog world?!

Now that all the pics have been shared, I can’t wait to tell you how the Lord spoke through Beth this weekend on the subject of insecurity. It was some good stuff! More on that later…
