We had our last baby shower hosted by Chad's family two weekends ago. It was a special time with family and long time family friends. Chad's mom, sister, and aunt did a wonderful job with everything. The food was so delicious. I think I had at least three plates full. (But, I am eating for three!)
A lot of the people there have known Chad for most of his life. We were so thankful that they were able to rejoice with us over our answered prayers.
Chad got the privilege of opening all the gifts. It was so fun to watch him! Once again, we were abundantly blessed and received so many wonderful things. Two of my favorites were these gorgeous blankets that Chad's grandmother crocheted for the girls, and these precious sweaters crocheted by a family friend. I absolutely love them and hope that one day Kinley and Emery will pass them down to their daughters.
Another one of my favorite touches from the day were these precious monogrammed frames with mats that the guests wrote personal messages to Kinley and Emery on. Such a sweet keepsake.
Me with our sweet hostesses...Chad's mom, sister and aunt.
We feel so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family supporting us on this new and exciting journey to parenthood!
Everything looks lovely!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a great party! Enjoy your time getting ready for your new arrival! It's such a special time!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are having twins!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful shower and are indeed blessed.
I saw your link on Carol's (also the lucky/blessed mother of twins!!!) blog list. I thought, just perhaps at the title of your blog was also referring to you as well as walking by faith. You see, my blog title is similar..."The Simple Life of Hope" also having a double meaning; my name is Hope.
I am following your blog.
:) Hope
You ARE eating for three! Yay! :) It looked like such a special day! That is so awesome that Chad's grandmother crocheted those sweet blankets! And the monogrammed frames are adorable and so sweet! You're going to get to meet these sweet baby girls so soon!!
ReplyDeleteThose crocheted items from grandmas are so special. My girls each have one that they carry around.
ReplyDeleteSo have you figured out what to do with all the stuff you got from your showers? I was so overwhelmed just by the clothes alone! It took me 3 days to wash everything!
