1 and 2 Month Must-haves

There is so much "stuff" when it comes to having a newborn in the house, not to mention needing two of most of that "stuff". We don't have a lot of fancy gadgets and things, but there are a few products that we've gotten a lot of use out of during these first couple of months that I thought I would share.

This app has been a lifesaver. I swear I would not remember anything without it. It allows you to track everything related to baby - feeding, diapers, medicine, dr. appointments, bottles, milestones, etc. I use it every time I'm nursing and I can track who is on which side, how long they ate, etc. You do have to pay for it, but it has been worth every penny!
Speaking of feeding, this pillow has made life so much easier. Chad and I joke that it really is my brest friend. Ha! I take it with me when we might be out for a while and I've used it in the back of the van to feed. I can't imagine trying to feed two babies without it!
We received these bibs as a shower gift (thanks Anne!) and they are wonderful because they don't soak through but they are still soft on the back. My girls are little piglets and can be messy eaters so we love these. I actually need to get a few more.
This thing is wonderful because you can use regular trash bags as refills. We originally registered for a different kind but ended up going with this one. I put an odor eliminating disc in the bottom and I never smell a thing. We have to empty it quite frequently because we go through so many diapers, but it will hold a good bit.

These things have saved the changing pad cover from many accidents during diaper changes gone awry. I love that we can just throw them in the wash without having to take the whole cover off every time.
I picked these up at our local moms of multiples consignment sale. I originally thought that they bounced but it turns out they don't. We've used these a lot though and they've been able to go in them from birth. We take them with us any time we go to someone else's house. They are very calming with the vibration and music. We love them!
Because we have two of everything, these smaller swings have been great and don't take up too much room. They play music and also have vibration. Both girls really like them.
We really like this bathtub. It fits over our kitchen sink and because of the sling, we've been able to use it with the girls from day one. I like the little storage section at the end for baby soap, brushes, washcloths, etc.
We've used several different products to swaddle, but this is what we are currently using. I like them because they are big and can grow with them. They are nice and stretchy so we can get them swaddled tight but they still can move around in them some. My mom picked them up for us at Marshall's and they've become our favorite swaddling blanket!

So there's a list of the products we come to know and love the past two months. I love to hear what other people are using and loving for their kids, so maybe this can help someone!

  2. We have that same bathtub. Glad you posted about the changing cover pads. The ones we bought are useless and fall apart in the wash and dryer.
We used the Swaddle Me blankets like crazy.
We also go through a ton of wash clothes because we're not using wipes like we thought because they give her a diaper rash.
And, lots and lots of bottles. :) Dr. Browns.

  4. Hi Faith!

Congrats to you on your two beautiful girls!!!

One thing we have loved is our friend gave us a hospital grade nose sucker. I know that sounds gross and you are probably thinking ya right, but it is sooooo much better than the kind you buy at the store.

Not sure if you can just go and ask for one since our friend gave us the one we have but if it ever gives out and we are blessed with another little one someday I will be asking for another one!
