Emery and Kinley - 2 months

I know I will probably say this every time, but I can't believe another month has gone by and y'all are now two months old! You are getting SO big. We've had such a fun month with you, watching you change and grow. I told your Daddy that although it makes me sad that you're getting so big, I am excited about all the new things you're doing and will continue to do.
This month has brought more sleep! At six weeks old you both slept 6.5 hours one night! Mommy and Daddy woke up that morning and couldn't believe it. Then on Christmas Eve you both slept 8 hours! Hallelujah! Since then you are consistently sleeping 7-8 hours every night. You nurse every three hours during the day and you both are still doing great with it. Little piglets =)

You're still sleeping in your pack-n-plays in our room. We've talked about moving you to your room soon, but Mommy is not quite ready yet. We're getting there though. Both of you are sound sleepers though and if one of you is crying, it typically doesn't wake the other one up.  We are SO proud of how well y'all have been sleeping!

You've had more and more alert time during the day and enjoy playing on your play mat. We added some longer toys and you love to reach for them and hear the noises they make.
The newborn clothes are starting to get too small for you now. Mommy is still trying to squeeze you in them though. 0-3 month things are still a little big, but I'm sure it won't be long before they fit you perfectly. You're also still in newborn diapers but I have a feeling we'll be moving to 1's soon. We recently found a few good sales on diapers and decided to stock up. We sure do go through a lot of them!

This month you celebrated your first Christmas! It was such a special day, even though you both slept through most of it =)
Mimi and Poppa watched you for a few hours last week so we could run some errands. You were sweet girls for them and I know they loved every minute of it. I missed you so much though and couldn't wait to get back home to my babies!

We rung in 2013 hanging out together in bed. This was the first year in many that we didn't have to wonder "will this be the year God blesses us with children?" He has blessed us incredibly with you both!

This might be my new favorite picture of the two of you. It just shows your personalities so well. I love you both so much!

Love these too =)

You recently had your two month appointment with the pediatrician and once again we were all so proud of how you've grown! Here are your stats:

Kinley:
Weight: 8lbs 1oz
 Height: 20.5 inches
Dr. S checked you all out and said that you look perfect. Of course, we already knew that ;-)
At this visit you got the first of your shots. Mommy and Daddy were not looking forward to them. It broke our hearts to see real tears in your eyes for the first time. =( You both handled them well...maybe better than Daddy and I did ;-)
These are some of my favorite pictures of you from this month. (It's hard to tell, but the bottom left pic shows how long your lashes are)
Dear Kinley,
My goodness, you have really changed so much this month. I just look at you and can't get over how much you're growing. As you are filling out, I really think you and your sister are starting to look more alike. You are both so pretty! Your eyelashes have really gotten long and I can tell your hair is growing a little too. You still haven't lost any yet, but there's a place in the back that's getting a little thin. You're still a wonderful eater. Every few days you'll have a BIG spit up after a feeding. I'm not really sure why, but it makes me sad because I think it scares you and you're just pitiful. In the past week or so you have really started to smile. It is THE SWEETEST thing! I seriously can't get enough. I videoed you smiling at your Daddy the other day and I thought my heart might explode. You also know our voices and will look around for us when you hear us talking. You make the sweetest little sounds when you yawn...I just love them. Your neck is getting even stronger and so are your legs. You try to stand up when I'm burping you. We call you Houdini because you manage to get out of your swaddle more times than not. Daddy will bundle you so tight, but somehow you still work your way out! You've had more fussy moments this month than before, but in general you are a laid back and easy going baby. You are so beautiful and I can't believe that I'm blessed enough to be your mom! I love you dearly!

 Emery:
 Weight: 8lbs 5.25oz
Height: 21 inches
Dr. S said that you were perfect too!
These are some of my favorite pictures of you from this month.

Dear Emery,
It's honestly a wonder that you still have any cheeks left because I kiss them all the time! I could just kiss them off. You are growing so much too and I can't get over it. You like your swing and you still love to be held. When it's time to eat and you hear the velcro on your bib you will star to smack your lips. It's the funniest thing! You want to "talk" to us so bad and you've made a couple of sweet coo's. I can't wait for more! You are smiling some too and are just full of personality. You still have a bit of a temper and go from 0 to 100 in an instant. There's really no in between. I love your sass though. (Remind me I said that in two years. Ha!)  You're a great eater and I'm thankful for that. You make this noise like you're clearing your throat sometimes and it cracks me up! You are so strong, holding your neck up and moving it all around. You also try to stand up in the bathtub sometimes. Silly girl! You still love your bath and it really relaxes you. You've taken a few naps on your tummy and I really think you like it. Like Kinley, you have a spot in the back of your head that maybe thinning a little bit, but you haven't lost any hair yet. You have the prettiest dark blue eyes that I just love to stare into. You are so beautiful, baby and I could not be more thankful for you. I love you to the moon and back!

  10. Sleeping through the night already?? Buy those girls a pony!! That's awesome. I swear Emery is so your baby in the face and Kinley is Chad. I LOVE Emery's eyes. Her 2 month pic on the blanket is beautiful. Their facial expressions are so stinkin' cute. I only wish I lived closer so I could hold them whenever I wanted!! Loved reading this. And reading that this is the first year you didn't have to wonder "will this be the year?" Instant tears. I remember that feeling so well and so thankful we both have our miracle babies now!!

    Love you, sweet friend.
