Celebrating Glory

My family has had a devastating week and would covet your prayers. My precious, beautiful niece, Glory, has gone to be with Jesus.

We do not understand God's ways or His timing, as they are not ours. Our hearts are breaking, but we rejoice in the fact that this is not the end. We will be reunited with her one day! Right now she is in the presence of Almighty God...no better place to be!

Although her life here on earth was too short, according to our timetable, God has a purpose and plan for her and He has already touched so many lives through Glory's life. We trust that He will continue to work this together for our good.

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:7-9

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

  16. How heart breaking. We've got some friends walking a similar road in our town, and it's just awfully hard to understand. Trusting God always, even in these traumatic experiences. Many prayers for your family.

  18. Oh, Faith I'm so sorry. I will pray for your family. I lost my nephew when he was two days old...he would have been six this year. A verse that was particularly special to me during that time (and now) is Isaiah 43:2. May you find your strength and comfort in God.
