Emery and Kinley - 4 months

Four months old! A third of the year gone already?!?! Sometimes your mommy just can't take it. Y'all are so much fun right now though. Each and every day you are learning and doing something new. You're just the most precious girls ever!

You're still in 0-3 and 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers. Some of your 0-3 one piece things are getting too short though. Mommy has had so much fun dressing you up this month as you've been able to fit in more of your things. You're just my little dolls!

Daddy is in charge of bath time and you both love it, Emery especially! There is nothing cuter than a freshly bathed, good smelling baby in a hooded towel. Be still my heart!

You're nursing every three hour during the day. Y'all hold hands a lot of times while you're eating and it makes my heart melt. You will look at each other too and it's just the sweetest thing! You take a morning nap that's about an hour, then you take two other naps throughout the day that are around two hours each. You go to bed around 9:00-9:15pm and will sleep until 8:00 or 8:30am. You girls are rock star sleepers!! You girls move all around the bed at night so the bumpers are now out of the cribs and we've transitioned from swaddles to sleep sacks.

You're getting stronger and stronger each day. You look so different to me when you're holding your heads up during tummy time. You've both rolled from tummy to back several times, but you don't do it every time you're on your tummy.

Mommy has gotten brave and left the house with both of you all by herself this month. We went and met daddy for lunch and showed you off to some of his co-workers. He was such a proud daddy and can't wait for everyone at church to see you. We hope to take you soon since flu season seems to be getting a little better. All the germs floating around have made Mommy very nervous.

I know we said you saw your first snow last month, but this month you really got to see some snow! We bundled you up and ran outside to get just a few pictures. It was really coming down at one point.
You both are still so active and are just a kicking away pretty much anytime you're laying down. I don't know that I have any pictures that aren't blurry from one of you moving all the time. Ha!

We'd been looking for high chairs for a while and finally found some. The first time you joined us at the dinner table you weren't sure what to think. You both thought you were big stuff sitting there with mommy and daddy. It will be a little while longer before you get what we're eating though =)
We also got out the Bumbo's for you to sit in. I wasn't sure how you'd do, but you both seemed to like it! You also still enjoy your play mat, tambourine toy, owl rattle and owl crinkle toy, your loveys and we introduced you to Sophie the Giraffe this month too! Your hand/eye coordination is improving and you're able to reach for and grab things better and better.

Never did I dream I'd be so blessed!

You went to the doctor this month and got your second round of shots =( You did good, but it was not any easier on any of us. I was so excited to see how much you'd both grown though! Here are your stats....

Kinley:
Weight: 10lbs 11.75oz
 Height: 23.75 inches

Dear Kinley,
I could literally eat you up with a spoon you are so cute! You are so smiley and it just melts my heart every time you smile and scrunch up your little nose. You are laughing now too and it is so funny! You love your lovey and paci and it's sweet to see how you will calm down as soon as they are given to you. You're a good sleeper and have done so well transitioning out of the swaddle to the sleep sack. I'm so proud of you! We've had a couple of tougher weeks with you nursing, but I think you've had some gas issues that have been making it hard. It makes me sad because I wish you could tell me what's wrong and I could make it better. When you look up at me and try to talk (aka gurgle) it is the sweetest sound to my ears! You are getting so close to rolling from your back to your belly, but I am not ready for that yet! You've lost a good bit of hair and have a round bald spot on the back of your head. I can tell that your hair is starting to fill back in on top though. Slowly but surely! Your eyelashes are so long and beautiful and it looks like your dark blue eyes are lightening up some. You are such a pretty baby girl, Kinley. You are fearfully and wonderfully made and your daddy and I could not be more crazy about you! I love you so very much!

Emery:
Weight: 11bs 2oz
 Height: 23.5 inches
Dear Emery,
My darling girl, you are just too much cuteness for me to take. You have the prettiest eyes and you're still so expressive with them. Your facial expressions just kill me! I love to see you with your daddy because you are just crazy about him! You love to flirt and smile with him, and I know he loves it too =) You just love talking and make the sweetest sounds. I've longed for the day our home would be filled with sweet baby laughs and now it finally is! You can also get pretty "vocal" if you know what I mean ;-) You are drooling a lot these days and chew on your hand quite often. You also love your lovey, but the paci you could still take or leave. You've discovered your tongue and will roll it around and stick it out too. It's so funny! We are working on transitioning you out of the swaddle. It's taken a couple more nights than it did with your sister, but you are doing well! You're still a great sleeper and nurser. You also have a bald spot on the back of your head like Kinley does. It's so cute though. I can't get over how beautiful you are and that you belong to me. Emery, you are fearfully and wonderfully made and your daddy and I could not be more crazy about you! I love you so very much!
