Springtime?!

I'm not sure what has happened to our beautiful spring weather but I'm ready for it to come back. We are starting to get out more and more with the girls and the pretty weather sure does make it easier.

Just a couple of weekends ago we were enjoying a gorgeous day at our cousins birthday party.
These girls partied hard ;-)
Spring consignment sales have been in full swing and I've been able to get out and hit a few. My friend, Rachel, posted about this blog and I used her guide for 15 toys for baby's first year to pick up some that we didn't already have. I think the girls are fans!
I've also finally been brave enough to take the girls to church. I haven't been brave enough to leave them in nursery yet, so they go in big church with us. The first week this little one decided she wanted out of her car seat and into GG's arms. Then she decided to talk through the sermon so daddy had to take her out.

The next week this little one decided she wanted out of her car seat and into MiMi's arms! She wasn't quite as vocal as her sister so she got to stay in the service ;-)
I've also been doing just a little sewing for my girls. What's a mommy to do when all the diaper covers and bloomers are too big for her tiny baby girls? Make some! And, monogram them of course. =) I used this pattern for the diaper covers and made my own for the bloomers.
I can't believe that it will soon be Easter and then the girls will be 5 months old. Makes me want to cry! I can't wait to see my precious doll baby's all dressed up though. It's hard to believe that we will be a family of four at church this Easter Sunday. God is so good!

  1. I need to get Shelby some more toys. I picked up a few at Wal-Mart yesterday that I"m going to put in her Easter basket. I think she's about ready for her Exersaucer.
We took Shelby to church once but this next week I plan to try and leave her in the nursery! We will see!!
Your girls are darling in their hairbows.
And, we have that same BJourn but Shelby HATES it!

  6. I'm with you...come on Spring!!

I didn't let my babies in the nursery until they were about 8-9 months old...you've got plenty of time. :) I still bring Sydney in some Sundays.

Love all of the pics of the girls.

  7. Goodness! No talking in church!! Yeah, I am one to talk, right! So sweet and growing fast! That part IS sad! I just said this morning to the miss priss at my house, "Did you grow last NIGHT!?" Oh, it happens so fast. Love the sweet bloomers and monograms! AND you!

  8. Your girls are so precious! Thank you for linking to my blog post about 15 toys for baby's first year. It's funny, I actually have another, more personal blog that is called "Walking By Faith" (christiekiley.wordpress.com). It was funny to see your URL pop up on my blog homepage with a very similar name. We share a similar passion for the Lord. Congrats again on your girls, and Happy Easter! God bless, Christie from MamaOT.com

  9. I didn't leave my babies in the nursery for a LONG time! I mean they were like 10 months before I took them down there...and even then I stayed with them most the time =)
