Springtime at the Orchard

We ventured out to a nearby peach orchard last week to attempt to get some pictures of the girls. I have a super sweet husband who will go along with my crazy idea to take two five month old babies out and traipse through the peach trees to take pictures. =)

Thanks to the tripod, we were able to get this decent shot of the four of us. It cracks me up that Emery is looking at the camera. Ha!

Emery Grace with Mommy and Daddy (have I mentioned that she is a daddy's girl?!)
I'll treasure these shots with my sweet girls. I'm trying to do better about actually being in pictures with them, instead of always being the one taking them. This is an old family quilt that belonged to my grandmother. We also used it in our maternity pictures. I love it so much! And, we are reading one of my favorite books from childhood. I remember my mom reading it to me, and she gave my girls a copy for me to read to them!
We love our girls!
I know I'm biased but, my word, they are so beautiful!
We are having the girls six month pictures taken by a "real" photographer next month and I can't wait!

  10. You're not biased-- they ARE beautiful! I love that book, too. I am going to be the mom who drives across town to climb into her child's window to hold him. These are beautiful pictures! You're one good looking family :)
