This post brought to you by...

the letter "C"! I have seen this fun letter tag on several other blogs and because I am in serious need of some blogging inspiration I decided to play along. Megan gave me the letter "C", so here are 10 things that I love that start with "C"!

1. Chad - my sweet, handsome man!

chad-close up

I am so blessed to be able to call him my husband. I do not deserve him, but I am so glad that he's mine!!

2. Calie - my baby girl.

DSC01364

I think you all know by now how much I love this little baby. She is the sweetest thing! I seriously don't know what I will do when something happens to her, but I can't think about that right now. Love my little Calzone!!

3.  Coffee - specifically a Decaf Tall Extra Hot Peppermint Mocha Twist from St*rbucks. Yummmm!

4.  Church

stained glass window

I love going to church and I'm so grateful that I was raised in a home where I knew the importance of it and we were always active in our home church. Just recently, Chad and I made the decision to leave the church home that we've had for over 9 years. It was something God had been working on in our hearts for a while, and we finally made the decision to be obedient and go wherever He is leading. Right now, we don't know where that is, but we are so excited about what God has in store for us and we just can't wait to see where He will take us. We look forward to finding our new church home and getting plugged in!

5.  Cheeseburgers

I love a good cheeseburger! My favorite though is a cheeseburger with chili, slaw and mayo from a local Drive-In. Oh my word, so good!!

6. Cell Phone

palm treo

I use it for so much...calling, texting, email, faceb00k, blogging, etc....what in the world would we do without cell phones now?

7. Computers

Another thing I don't know what we'd do without. The internet, blogging, email, faceb00k, creating, etc. There's so much I love doing on the computer!

8. Cute Cards

easton-Pink-note

I love cute cards and stationery. And, if they have a monogram on them, even better!

9. Crafts

I love being crafty and creative! Sewing, scrap booking, stickers, stamping, painting, decoupaging, decorating, designing...I love it all!

10. Concerts

I love going to concerts and hearing music live and in person. I'm especially looking forward to this concert coming up and meeting a very special blog friend!!! Yippee!!!

I know that we have all been lifting up Harper and rejoicing over the healing God is doing in her life. Praise the Lord, she is now breathing half on her own!!!! There is SUCH power in prayer...let's not stop!!

Calie got tagged!

Tucker (and Amy) from Chapters tagged Calie with a fun little game. We are so excited to play along!

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person that tagged you.

2. Post the rules on your blog.

3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.

4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.

5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

Calie says:

1. I love soft blankets. The one that my daddy got for his birthday is my new favorite. You can find me here throughout the day...

DSC01279

Do you see me peaking my head out for the camera?DSC01320

2. I sleep under the covers every night. I start out all the way under, but then I get hot and come out panting and I lay my head on the pillow. My mom thinks I'm so cute when I do this.

DSC00242

3. I am the definition of a lap dog. Wherever my mommy is, you can find me in her lap.

faith - calie 2

4. Whenever my mom and dad leave me, I go running to the window in the front room and stick my head through the blinds to see where they went. I try to give them my most pitiful face and make them feel bad for leaving me. It usually works. My mom waves at me and blows me kisses...I don't think she knows how silly she looks.

DSC01378

5. I have been known to escape from our yard on a couple of occasions. My mom and dad look frantically for me and thank goodness they find me. My mom always asks me what I think I would do spending a night out in the dark all alone and honestly, I have no idea. She took this picture of me right after one of my escapes. Let's just say, she was not happy with me...

DSC00788

6. Most small dogs get a bad rap for being around children, but I happen to love my little friends.

DSC00237 DSC00646 DSC01370

As you can tell, I am one loved pooch. Some might say a little spoiled, but I love my mom and dad, and they love me!

Quirky tag..a little late

I was tagged a while back by Cheryl with this "quirky" meme.

Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules on your blog.
3. Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag six fellow bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the six blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.

I'm certainly a quirky little bird, so here goes!

1) When I go to Chick-fil-@, I always get a six piece nugget kids meal with a side of pickles. That's not really that weird, but this is....I dip my nuggets in mayonnaise and then eat a bite of pickle with my nugget. It's just like the sandwich without the bread!

2) I have a certain order that I go through the grocery store and a certain way that I think groceries need to be put in the buggy. I like to go to the store with Chad, but I do not like things being flung into the cart all willy-nilly. If he puts something in the cart, I have to move it and put it where I think it should go...I'm all about being logical and making the most of the space in the buggy. (btw, this really drives Chad crazy!)

3) I LOVE horseradish! I put it on or in everything I can. Steaks, roast beef, sandwiches, burgers, Ranch dressing (so yummy!), horseradish mustard, and deviled eggs (fyi: my mom just shared the recipe for these delicious little things!)

4) I'm not really a milk drinker unless I am eating something chocolate-y and then I can down a whole glass of ice cold milk.

5) I do not drink any caffeine. I gave it up last year during a 40 day fast and once it was over, and I had my first glass of sweet tea, I ended up with a terrible migraine and determined that it was definitely a trigger for my headaches. So now I don't drink it at all. Caffeine Free Dr. Pepper is a lifesaver, and fortunately most of the things I drink at Starbucks they can make in decaf!

6) I am very particular about fragrances/smells, etc. I'm not into B&B Works stuff because most of it gives me headaches. About the only fragrance I can handle in my home is Macintosh Apple by Y@nkee Candle.

Okay, if you haven't already done this, I tag Kristen, Jessica, Melissa H, Laura, and Ashleigh, and anyone else that wants to play along. I can't wait to hear some of you girls' quirks!

Tagged, etc.

Well, it's no secret that I have been struggling with "interesting things to talk about on the blog" lately. I blame it on being tired from staying up too late watching the Olympics. Or maybe the fact that since I don't have a job, I pretty much sleep late every day and then somehow manage to waste the day away doing who knows what. Regardless, there has been nothing exciting to blog about. It's so sad when that happens =(

And then, my friend Melissa tagged me for this one-word meme and I was SO happy to participate! Yippy!!

Okay, not that that was entirely exciting, but at least it was something to talk about! Oh, and here's something else... my sister decided to join the blogworld and started her own blog tonight! I think it will be a great way for her to document life with E, how she is growing and all of the funny things she does! She is still working on it and we've got some designing to do, but please visit her and say hello!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

I had just graduated from high school (wow! I can't believe it's been 10 years!) We had recently joined a new church, where there was a certain fella named Chad that was catching my eye!

2. My Favorite Snacks

Plain Pringles, Ripple chips and french onion dip - I could seriously eat my weight in this! And, you already know about my deep love for chocolate chip cookies!

3. Five things on my to-do list today

2. Do the laundry
3. Upload my monogramming software that just came in
4. Come up with an order form for monogramming that shows the new fonts
5. Go and pick up E, because she is spending the whole weekend with us!!!!

4.Things I would do if I were a billionaire

Of course I would tithe majorly! I would adopt as many babies as I could! I would pay off my family's houses and any debt so they could all live debt free. I would support several families we know serving in foreign missions and pay for my friends and family to go on a mission trip. I would buy a big house in the mountains, on a lake for my family and friends to vacation at. I would travel and go on a major shopping spree! And just give, give, give!

5. Five jobs that I've had

I am pretty fortunate (or spoiled, however you want to look at it!) to have only worked part-time.

1. worked one day (pitiful, I know!) at a retirement home - let's just say that was NOT the job for me!

7.Five random things people wouldn't know about me

1. I played the clarinet from 5th-10th grade. I really wanted to learn how to play the flute, but every time I tried, I got so dizzy that I felt like I would pass out...so I settled on the clarinet.
2. I am PETRIFIED of ANY kind of bug - creeping, crawling, flying, slithering. I don't even like butterflies! I'm not real big on most things outdoors, if I'm completely honest with ya!
3. I sing Alto in the choir. I learned from growing up hearing my mom sing....she has a beautiful alto voice.
4. I am pretty gullible (or I like to refer to it as innocent!) and ask some s-t-u-p-i-d questions sometimes!
5. I listen to our Fourth of July choir music on my way to work, and I seriously cry every time when I sing the songs for the different branches of the military. I hope I don't cry during the real thing!

8.Five cds that I'd have to take on a desert island

1. Celine Dion - I love to belt some of her songs, even with my little alto voice!
2. Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
3. Point of Grace
4. Monk and Neagle
5. N-Sync - I know, so cheesy...but I love it!!

9. People I tag are.........

Boy, am I glad it is Wednesday!

How are you all??? I feel like I have been going a hundred miles an hour! The first part of my week is usually hectic because of work, but this week I had a class Tuesday night from 6:30-9:00 which made these first few days seem even longer. I am so glad that today is Wednesday and I am done working for the week! I plan on sleeping in tomorrow and then working on some monogramming (Julia, I promise your towel will be on the way soon!).

I have fallen behind on reading blogs, so I am trying to catch up. I hate to miss out on what's going on with all of you!

I was tagged by Cheryl, a sweet girl whose blog I found recently to list six random things about myself. I know this is crazy to admit, but since my last tagging I have been keeping a list of weird things about myself in case I was tagged again...I'm a dork, I know!

Okay, here are some random and pretty weird things about me:

1) I cannot stand the way newspaper smells. I do not like to read it, touch it or be in close enough contact with it that I can smell it.

2) I am anal about neat handwriting. I love it. Seeing a neatly written note or poster or anything just makes me happy =)

3) Also, when I was younger, I secretly desired to be left handed, and I would practice during the summer to try to make the switch!

4) I like going to the beach, but I really do not like the sand. I don't like to get my towel sandy (near impossible), my bag sandy, my shoes sandy...I just don't like getting sandy, but it's pretty hard to avoid on a beach covered with, you know....sand!

5) Before my LASIK surgery three years ago, my vision was SOOOOO bad....I'm talking 20/1200 YIKES!!!! Thank you Dr. Jaben!

6) It must be COMPLETELY dark in order for me to fall asleep. And I mean, pitchblackyoucan'tseeyourhandinfrontofyou dark! I am prepared to use a towel, blanket or anything else I can find to cover a window or door that is letting light in. I have dark tape over the charging indicator lights on my phones, I use a washcloth to cover up my bright alarm clock, etc. Yeah, some might call it a bit compulsive...but I wouldn't be one of those people!

So, there you have it. I'm sure I could come up with another list in just a matter of time though. Trust me, there are many more weird things about me that you will come to know and hopefully love =)

I tag anyone else who wants to play along!

I hope that you all are doing well. I am praying for each of you!

I'm it...again!

My friend Jennifer tagged me for a different game. This time it's Top Ten Things I Love About My Husband! And, I do love my man!

Same rules as before I guess. 1) Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules. 2) List the top ten things you love about your husband. 3) Tag 4 people and link to their blogs at the end of your post. 4) Let the people know they are tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs.

Top Ten Things I Love About My Husband:

1) He has grown tremendously in his walk with the Lord since we have been married. He truly is a godly man and husband. I am so thankful that he is the spiritual leader of our little family.

2) He is not ashamed to tell others about Jesus. He has a heart for missions and evangelism.

3) He is SO funny and we are always laughing about something. He just says and does the funniest things and cracks me up all the time!

4) He is a very hard worker. I am so proud of how he works so hard to provide for us.

5) He sends me text messages every morning to let me know that he loves me and has prayed for me.

6) He prays for our future children. He will be an amazing dad one day. I can't wait!

7) He helps me so much with things around the house. I know that I am very fortunate in that area!

8) He is an awesome cook, and comes up with some very tasty meals!

9) He is very level headed and thinks things through. He can help me settle down when I get wound up to tight.

10) He loves my family like I do.

I tag Melissa, Kelly, Kristin, and anyone else who wants to tell us how awesome her husband is!

Tag, I'm it!

This is my first tagging! I am so excited! I was actually tagged twice...once by Nicki and once by Robyn with "7 Random Things"!!

Here are the rules:1) Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog. 2) Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. 3) Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs. 4) Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here we go:

1) I can't eat when there's too much going on (ex: parties, when there's a lot to talk about, when I'm having people over for dinner and stressing the whole time!)

2) I am very motion sensitive. Like, I get dizzy bending over to tie my shoes! Riding in the car I'm usually up front or in the middle backseat, and there must be air blowing on me at ALL times! I have a hard time watching movies in the theater and usually have to be on the very back row. No roller coasters, no video games, airplanes are awful, etc. Not too much fun!

3) I met Chad at church...his mom was my Sunday School teacher!

4) I'm not a big breakfast eater, but one of my very favorite things to eat is chocolate chip mini muffins! Love them!!

5) I went to a very small Christian school. When I say very small, I mean that there were 26 people in my graduating class!

6) Chad and I fix chocolate chip cookies with milk at least three times a week!

7) I love TiVo and can't remember what life was like before we had it!

How's that for random?

Okay, I know some of you have already been tagged, and if so, I'm sorry! I tag Kim, Megan, Deidre, Stephanie, Jenna, and Candy (her blog is private). The other girls I would tag are on a blogging fast, so maybe next time!
