Thursday night we went with a bunch of our friends to a local town park for a festival and fireworks. We had the girl with us and she had a blast. Here she is with her BFF for the night, Miss Becca!
She did not want to let Becca out of her sight. Whatever Becca did, she did. She wanted Becca to put her shoes on, push her in the stroller, hold her hand, sit beside her...and you'd better watch out if you got in the way of her and her BFF!
She was such a big girl and jumped in a big bounce house. I tried to get pictures of her jumping, but the camera focused on the net and you couldn't see her at all! Here they are with their tickets, waiting to go in.
Here's our friend, Julia Madison. Isn't she precious???
Time for the fireworks! How sweet is this picture?
Hayes kept his hands like this the whole time! So cute!
Could she be holding one more thing???
Time to get home and get in the bed. It was a late night!
Friday, the 4th, was more of the same....fun, friends, family, food, fireworks. We picked up our friends and headed to Chad's parents house for their annual cookout. We had a lot of fun eating some yummy food, and then playing Playstation to kill some time before the fireworks started. I didn't take any pictures, but everyone took a turn on Guitar Hero, and we jammed to some SingStar 80's. Fun times! Then we walked the same walk that we've done the past 10 years down to watch fireworks at the Country Club. It was a great show, but after fireworks two nights in a row, we were about fireworked out!
Saturday was my last day of work at the sewing store. It was pretty sad, although I tried to hold myself together. My boss warned me not to start crying, or she might not stop! I have truly enjoyed every day that I've been there over the last three years. I pray the Lord's continued blessings over our owners, and for Chad and I. Y'all be praying that I can stay busy with this monogramming!
Melissa and I have been busy getting our new booth ready. We painted last week and have been moving things in slowly. I'll update you with pictures later...it's coming along nicely! We are preparing to go to the wholesale market in Atlanta this week. It is a lot of fun, but so overwhelming! Hopefully this year will be a little bit easier because we know more of what to expect. Please pray for our safety and that we will find lots of cute things to buy and that they will sell!!

On a more serious note....thank you all for your prayers....your sweet comments and emails mean the world to me, and I know that the Lord is using you to encourage me to not give up. He is working even when I can't see it. We have had some discouraging days lately, but are just determined to trust the Lord and believe that He will provide a precious baby for us in His way and His time. I thank Him for using you to remind me of His faithfulness! I'm praying for you all as well!

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice 4th. and what a sweet little darling you had to spend it with! She is just precious and so yummy....:)
ReplyDeleteNow, I have to tell you I don't know your circumstances regarding having children, but I know your a woman of faith and are trusting God. I want to share something with you if I may.
A really good friend of mine has been trying for 5 yrs to get pregnant. Through the whole ordeal she had several surgeries and such along with to "scrapings" of her uterus as she was told she has endometriosis (sp). After 4 1/2 yrs of trying they were told by specialists that the ONLY way she would conceive would be through In-Vitro. So the started preparing for the "big event" and ended up pregnant with triplets. At 20 weeks she started bleeding really badly and lost all the babies. After several long months of coping with their loss they decided they wanted to try the In-Vitro again. She was to be in her Dr. office on Monday and found out on Sunday she was pregnant! It was a GOD thing as we all know and we have been praising him ever since! Through tragedy and all! So my words to you today are to NEVER give up even if a Dr. tells you what he told my girlfriend.....God can do anything!!!! I leave you with this:
"Whoever says to this mountian, be lifted up and thrown into the sea and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him" Mark 11:23
"May God, the source of hope, fill me with all joy and peace by means of my faith in him, so that my hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit" Romans 15:13
Praying for you tonight.
Many Blessings........
Faith ~
