I will go ahead and warn you, this post is going to be a bit random! My mind is all over the place right now and I want to share several things with y'all.
I love facebook! Since getting on there, I have gotten back in touch with so many friends from the past. I'm talking about people I went to kindergarten with!! Recently I got back in touch with my best friend from high school, Tracy,l that I had lost contact with for years. It has been so neat to see pictures of her and her family and hear what they've been up to. Well, yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet up with her and her precious little boy at Starbucks!
Here's a self portrait of the three of us. How cute is Jake??? And, look at him looking right at the camera. So sweet!!
We had a great time visiting and talking, and I know we probably could have talked for hours, although I don't think baby Jake would have been too happy about that!On the way there, Chad texted me to say that he loved me and that he hoped I had a good day. So while driving (mom, I know!) I replied to him "I love u too honey. I'm so thankful for u!" I got a reply back that said "Mug, that is so sweet but I'm dying laughing, you wrote homey instead of honey!" And, y'all, I went back and read what I wrote and sure enough it said "I love u too homey. " Hahahaha!!! Oh my word, I was laughing out loud and kept getting tickled all throughout the day when I would think about it!
I went and had lunch with my "homes" today and then met my parents for just a minute. We started talking about the upcoming election and so many things related to that. After leaving them I found myself growing a little anxious about what is going to take place in the coming days and months for our country. The more I thought about these things my stomach tightened and I became a little fearful of all that is going on right now. I began to pray as I was driving down the road and asked for God's mercy on our land. I prayed 2 Chron. 7:14 and begged that our country would seek the Lord and that He would in turn heal our land.
I turned the radio on, and this song was playing. While singing these words, I cried out to Him and praised Him, for He does reign! He is sovereign over all and holds all things in His hands. Take a moment to worship our Lord and give Him glory!
Every knee will bow and every tongue proclaim that Jesus reigns! You were, You are, and You are to come! We praise You Lord!
I checked blogs when I got home and came across this link on Amanda's blog. Please go and read this amazing article. It was exactly what my heart needed to hear. Thank you God, You are good!
I pray that each of you have had a blessed Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of the other night at church and Noah was drawing and he had decided he was going to make a "Good list" and a "Bad List" of people for Santa. Except sometimes he still gets b and d mixed up and he wrote "Goob List" -- I told John he was on that one! :)
