This past weekend was honestly one of the best ones I've had in so long! It started with an awesome Sunday morning worship service at a new church we visited. It was an incredible morning in the Spirit, but thankfully it didn't end there.
My mom and I hit the road headed to Atlanta for this:
But before we would spend the evening in awesome praise and worship, there was a special friend that we needed to meet!
I was so excited to meet sweet Jenna Babe for the first time and hug her neck!
I already knew that she was sweet, funny and so stinking cute, but y'all, if it's possible, she is even sweeter, funnier and cuter in person! I just love her!!
We talked and talked and talked like we had known each other forever. But, as if that wasn't enough, we were in for even more amazing moments that night.
Travis Cottrell is probably the most amazing worship leader I have ever seen. He is so humble and just allows the Lord to use him in such mighty ways.
And, it's no secret that the man can SING!
Each and every song was so powerful and just brought us straight to the throne in worship. Cindy Morgan was also there and when she sang "Praise the King" I seriously thought we were in heaven. Oh my, what a glorious day it will be when we are there and praising our King forever and ever!!!
I was thrilled to be able to hear from Beth Moore. She has such a gift from the Lord in leading and teaching other women and her word from Him that night was powerful, as always.
And seriously, could she be any cuter??
After the concert we made our way down front to chat with Sophie and Melanie who, just like Jenna, are even sweeter, cuter and funnier in person.
How awesome is Melanie's jacket??
And here's Sophie rockin' a cute scarf!
It is just the coolest thing to see how God can bring all of us together through the internet and blogging. I love it!!
Our fun continued well into the night (and early morning hours) with talking, laughing, watching funny youtube videos, snacking, more talking and more laughing, etc.
Sweet Jenna combined her love of Subway with my love of chocolate chip cookies by bringing a big bowl of chocolaty-chip goodness for us to snack on. I heart her!
It was an amazing weekend, with amazing people, full of wonderful memories that will last forever. I loved every single second of it!!

ReplyDeleteYour girls weekend sounds wonderful. I don't think anyone could have created a greter "girls" weekend. I had all the good ingredients.
Looks like such a fun weekend! I did my post on the letter P...
ReplyDeleteHi Faith, I found your neat blog through Kelly Stamp's blog and Julia Wreyford's blog. Julia and I live in the same neighborhood. I have been keeping you in my prayers and that God would bless you with a baby. I struggled with infertility for 5 long years before having a baby girl in 2005. She will be 4 years old in a couple of weeks. I cannot believe it! She has been such a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI just loved your post about the concert! I was there too and had a great time. I put a few pics on my blog at http://fullardfamily.blogspot.com/2009/01/travis-cottrell-concert.html
Take Care,
Natasha
