Today is the 15th of the month which means that it is time to start on my second memory verse of the year! For the first verse, I chose Ps. 62:5-6 in the Amplified Version. (I decided that verses 5-8 were a pretty big undertaking at first, so I memorized verses 5-6) Here goes...
"My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him. He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved."
Yay! I did it!! I have loved meditating over these words for the past couple of weeks, and they have brought such encouragement to my soul.
I came across my next verse the other day and realized that it was one that I needed. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, then go here to find out!)
"O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by Your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for You!" Jeremiah 32:17 NLT
How encouraging is that? Our God made the heavens and the earth and there is NOTHING that He cannot do. No matter what anyone says, He is Sovereign over all and is able to do ALL things! That just makes me want to shout! Praise His Name!!!

ReplyDeleteI am so amazed at how many times the first verse I chose had been used in conversations & in the midst of prayer.... it was amazing to have that verse on my heart for the past few weeks. So excited about picking a new one!!!
Great job with your memorizing - something that is so challenging for me! Keep plugging away...God surely blesses our efforts!
ReplyDeleteOh, girl! I claimed this verse throughout our struggle with infertility. It's so fun to say the beginning with A LOT of emphasis (I think Beth did this during one of the Believing God video sessions). Great verse!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I still believe NOTHING is too hard for God! He may have answered my prayers differently than I expected but boy did he have to change my heart to get me on board...NOTHING is too hard for Him!!!
