A good mail day!

Don't you just love when you check the mail and find something FUN and not just bills and boring stuff?! Last week I was doing some ebay-ing and ordered a couple of things for myself and they both came in the mail on Friday. It was a very good mail day!

Looks like I've got some reading to do! My dear friend gave me the audio cd's for "Living Beyond Yourself" for my birthday, and I have so enjoyed listening to them on my way to and from work. I knew that there was more that the Lord wanted to show me on this subject, so I got the workbook to do on my own.

This study has already spoken so powerfully to me. His timing is perfect and this study could not be more appropriate to help equip me for what I am going through right now. The circumstances that I am currently facing are way beyond what I can handle on my own, and you may feel the same. But thankfully, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can live each and every day beyond ourselves and in His power, strength and joy. I don't know about you, but I need that!! I want to begin each day by laying myself before Him, pouring myself out, and asking Him to fill me to the full with ALL of Him.

Not coincidentally, I'm pretty sure that "living beyond myself" will have a lot to do with saying "so long, insecurity"! I'm really excited to see what the Lord has to say to me through Mrs. Beth's new book. Insecurity is definitely something that I deal with and I believe I'm not alone. I am thankful for the truth that is in this book, and I pray that God uses it to change every woman to find our security in Him.

I got an excited email from sweet Jennababe a while back letting me know that Mrs. Beth would be coming to Woodstock, GA in April and asking me what I thought about meeting up there again....of course, I jumped at the chance! And now, it has turned into a big "party in the overflow" and I cannot wait for April to get here! What a special time it will be to fellowship with so many sweet blogging friends and hear a word from the Lord - it doesn't get much better than that!! But, as exciting as that is, please check out this post by sweet Caroline and reflect on what God really has in store for us during that time.

Oh Father, we are desperate for You to meet us and fill us to OVERFLOWING!!! Speak Lord, we are listening!!!

  10. Living Beyond Yourself was the first BMoore bible study I ever did - over 10 years ago, I think. Wow! It is still one of my favorites to this day. My walk with the Lord changed dramatically with that study.

I never thought of audio CDs for a bible study - what a great idea. Eric has used several for Max Lucado books, but now I think I may do that. (You know I'm slow :)

Y'all are going to have a great time in Georgia. What a neat thing to do!
