Q & A....Part 2

I would love to know how you and Chad met..
Chad and I met when I was just graduating from high school. My family had just found a new church home, the church that Chad had grown up in, and I got involved in a Sunday school class where his mother was my teacher!


How did Chad propose to you?
Chad proposed by taking me to one of our very favorite fancy restaurants downtown. We had talked about rings/marriage for a while, but I didn't know exactly when he was going to ask. He was VERY nervous that night, so I should have known something was up! He arranged for us to be seated in this intimate dining area, away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. All the waiters kept coming by and looking in at us and smiling, and I kept wondering why. I guess they were trying to see if the big moment had occurred yet! He hardly ate I thing. I, however, ate all of my food and then his leftovers! After dinner, he read a poem that he had written for me and as he was reading the last line he got up from his seat, came over to me, got down on his knee and asked if I would please marry him. Of course, I said yes! I just found this post where I wrote a little more about that special day and there's also a couple of pics of us youngin's!


How long have you been married?
We celebrated 9 years of marriage in December. I really can't believe that this year will be our 10th anniversary....wow, time flies!


What is the most romantic date your hubby has ever taken you on?
I must admit that I have a very thoughtful and romantic husband. There have been many times where he has done something so sweet just out of the blue. This year he made my birthday extra special by planning the whole weekend for us - he took me to one of my favorite restaurants downtown and we stayed at the West*in. It was such a special way to celebrate my birthday.

One date that especially stands out was when we were dating he planned a whole scavenger hunt with clues - each clue led us to a place that was important in our relationship and we ended up at one of our favorite restaurants. That was a lot of fun!

I've also come home very tired and stressed to find a candle-lit bathroom and a hot bubble bath waiting on me. I really do have the best husband and I'm so thankful for him!!

While we are on the subject of my sweet man, I must tell you that he blogged for the first time ever yesterday! You can go here to check it out - just a little something that the Lord laid on his heart to share with our youth ministry. I'm so proud of him!!
