Fun, Spontaneous Road Trip!

On Wednesday afternoon I found out I had won meet and greet tickets to the Kutless/Casting Crowns concert in Asheville, NC!! Chad and I saw them in concert when we were in Gatlinburg, TN this past New Years Eve for a youth conference and they were amazing….absolutely the real deal.

Chad and I were so pumped about getting the chance to meet them and hear them again. So, we headed down the highway on a beautiful, sunny day. We made it to the Asheville Civic Center just in time to get our “meet and greet” passes and head down to the meet and greet room, which was actually the basement garage where all their buses were. We all lined up single file and then the artists came through the line to talk to everyone.

Everyone we met was so incredibly nice and we had such a fun time chatting with them for few moments.  Megan from Casting Crowns even told me I looked cute ;-) And, we got a great video for our youth group (we are raising money to build a well in Uganda) where Mark Hall challenged our group to continue giving and doing everything we can to help bring clean water to the people of Uganda.

Here are a few pics from our awesome night….

It was more an amazing time of worship than it was a concert. It was exactly what my soul needed and I was so grateful that the Lord blessed us with such a sweet surprise and gave us the chance to make these memories! Don’t you just love it when He shows you in a fun, special way that He truly does love you so much?!?

What little blessing has He given you lately?

  4. I love that you got to do this! Man do I wish I had the voice of Megan...girlfriend can sing!!

The last time we went to see them, we somehow ended up with 2nd row seats - direct middle of the stage - it was the best time ever. And you're right - it's more like a time of worship than a concert. I think I cried through every song. LOL

I won a cool camera strap on Nester's blog the other day...I was shocked. Other than on your blog - I've never won anything! It was a very nice surprise and made my not-so-great day, brighter. :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Love your outfit in these pics!

    Love ya girl.
