It's been a while...

This week, two things took place that haven't happened in a long time.
First, I got acrylic nails - something I haven't done since the week of my wedding. I got them before my wedding in preparation for the big "hands with wedding rings" pic, which funny enough, never even happened. Our photographer took a photo of our rings stacked on top of each other with our cake in the background and I don't think there were any pictures showing my crazy nails! I HATED having them and could not wait to get back from my honeymoon and have them taken off. I think part of the problem was that I was wearing contacts then and I had the hardest time putting them in and taking them out...it was dreadful!

But I figured it was time to give them another try because my nails were looking horrible. So Sunday after church I went with a friend for a little spa afternoon and got me some nails! I had them cut pretty short and so far they aren't too bad. I'll see how long I can keep up with them ;)

And second, we got cable again! For the longest time we've just had basic cable with maybe 20 channels. My man has begged and begged for cable for so long. He is more of a tv watcher than I am so it wasn't that big of a deal to me. We did get the Style Netw0rk as one of our channels and I loved that because it was my one connection to cable. ;)

I loved keeping up with Ruby and Guiliana and Bill and a couple of other shows. But last week, something sad happened. We came home and the Style Netw0rk was GONE! Or so Chad told me....now that I think about it, that could have just been his ploy to get me to agree to getting cable again. Ha! I caved and now have more channels than we will ever have time to watch, and a happy husband.

I'm excited about having some of my old faves again (HGTV, TLC, Bravo, etc.) and getting to watch Say Yes to the Dress, What Not to Wear and so many others!

So, tell me....what shows have I been missing out on that you just love?!?!
