Festival Fun!

Saturday we ventured to a nearby small town for their fall festival. We had E for the day and thought it would be a lot of fun for her. We loaded up the van with our friends and then met some more friends there. It was a gorgeous fall day and the weather was perfect for walking around outside.
First, we found some yummy (and expensive!) festival food. Here is Miss E enjoying her hot dog and "ribbon fries" - they somehow make these fries by drilling a potato! Very interesting!

E, Becca and Hayes

Next, we went and bought our tickets for the games and attractions. The first thing Becca and E did was a bounce house obstacle course.

Making her way through...

Here she comes...

With her buddy Becca...

Wheee....that was fun!!

E loves her Bubba!!

They were doing pony rides, but we opted not to do that and just found this horsey to pet instead!

NaNa loves this girl!!

We sat and listened to a young, bluegrass group sing for a while. They were really good!

Time to go home...

Unfortunately, when we got home, Miss E was not feeling well and ended up getting sick. Bless her heart, she was so pitiful! It was so hard to see our girl not feeling good and not being able to do much about it. It must have just been a 24 hour bug because the last time I checked she was feeling better. She was pretty sad that she had to miss church and couldn't go to children's church...poor thing!

Today I've just been cleaning the house some while listening to our Christmas music for choir. There are some really pretty songs this year, I've just got to learn them! I even have dinner cooking in the oven...I must be feeling very domestic today! I don't know what has gotten into me!

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and a great Monday!

  1. I love domestic days! I wish I had them a lot more than I actually do though. Looks like your day was a blast...I am sorry that Emma got sick though! We've been sick in our house too, not sure what that;s about! My Boo pumpkins though...they are made with vinyl letters that I bought at Hobby Lobby. :)
