late-twenties here I am! I really can't believe that in two short years I will be thirty! Wow, where has the time gone?
So far, my day has been wonderful! It started with my husband at home because of the rain. He made me cinnamon rolls for breakfast and gave me a gift card to Starbucks (yay!) and some money to go shopping (double yay!) Then, I got a phone call from one of my best friends saying that she had left something on my porch for me....she brought by some muffins and fruit with a sweet birthday card and left it by my front door! Did I mention that she has twin baby boys at home? Or the fact that she made chocolate chip muffins for me an doesn't even eat chocolate??THANK YOU Emily!!
Next, I went to lunch with two more of my best friends at one of our favorites...The Penguin. Of course, we had to get their fried pickles and I had a pimento cheese burger that was soooo yummy! Thanks girls, it was so much fun!
And, the day is not over yet. I'm thinking that I might want to do a little shopping before going to see Fireproof. Then tonight, my mom is making my favorite meal and we are celebrating with my family. I'm looking forward to seeing all of them!
I have gotten phone calls, emails, facebook messages and blog messages from so many of my sweet friends wishing me a happy birthday. Thank you so much!! You have truly put a smile on my face and made me feel so loved!! I am thankful for each one of you!!

Happy Birthday!! It sounds like you had a fun day! I'm so glad you felt loved on your special day!
ReplyDeleteI have been catching up reading your posts. I have been slack in writing mine and reading others. At least I talk to you on Facebook! I love the wedding pictures, such a beautiful bride. I will steal the idea and post mine in October, when we got engaged. We are going to see Fireproof tonight...very excited. Hope your birthday was wonderful! From experience, I can say my life has been better in my '30s than it was in my '20s. The longer you serve Him, the sweeter it grows.
