Birthday, Big Papi and Babysitting

This weekend started off with celebrating my sister's birthday. We went to this new place called Big League Hot Dogs. It was really good! They had all kind of hot dogs, bratwurst, burger's, etc. They had really good french fries too. We tried their buffalo fries which had buffalo wing sauce on them and you dip them in ranch...yum! But let's be honest, what ISN'T good dipped in ranch?

Chad instantly liked it when we walked in and he saw this...

He is a big Red Sox fan and had to have his picture made with "Big Papi"!

E was having a good time! She had her hair in a ponytail and was so stinkin' cute!

She sure does love her "Bubba"

She has started playing with my wedding rings lately, and we talk about how those mean that me and Chad (her uncle Bubba) are married. Well, she will put on my rings and say that she is "murried" and when we ask her who she is married to, she says "Bubba"! It is so cute!

Saturday, Daniel and Jennifer had a Brazil mission trip meeting, so we had Becca and Hayes at our house for a while. We had such a good time...they played Guitar Hero, baseball and hockey on the PlayStation. Then we decided to go for a walk and that we would take both the dogs. Yeah...didn't exactly work out as planned! I got Calie ready with her harness on and we went outside to wait for Chad to get Mason ready. Before we even left our yard that crazy Min Pin some how weaseled her way out of her harness and took off! I turned my head and realized she was gone and then had to take off running down our street after her. I am telling you, she is QUICK! So there I go, yelling her name and running after her like an idiot, asking her if she wants to go bye-bye or if she wants to eat....basically anything that will make her want to come back to me. Finally I catch up to her and get close enough to pick her up....then I marched her little bottom back to the house and she did not get to go on the walk! I know, I'm terrible...she went in time-out! Ha!

Once all the drama was over we set out on our way to the park in our neighborhood. They played on the playground for a little while and then we made our way back home to make cookies! We finished the evening by hanging out on the couch, eating chocolate chip cookies with milk, and watching America's Funniest Home Videos....people. can it get any better than that?

Today was a great day in the Lord's house and I am ready for the week ahead. I hope that you all have a great week as well!

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. " Matthew 6:33

  5. Let me tell ya, the faster you run after them, the faster they get and the more they laugh. Lexi bug is pulling that all the time. I am hoping that soon she will get to where she laughs so hard, she starts to slow down. And girl the more I yell her name, the faster she gets too.
