Oh friends...it has been a long day! Tuesdays usually are because I have an afternoon sewing class that goes until 6:30pm. But today has been particularly long and stressful. I will warn you...there is complaining ahead!
It started off this morning with me rushing to get some patterns made for my home school sewing class that I forgot to do last night (uh-oh!) I was running a little behind, but got to work and taught that class this morning, and it went pretty well.
Then lunch time came and I decided to go to Showmars because on Wednesday's they have one of my favorite dishes on special...then I realized that today was not Wednesday, it was Tuesday! Oh my word! I was working with my boss today which threw me off ALL day because we usually only work together on Wednesday's!
So, I decided that I would go to Showmars anyway and get a Grilled Chicken Chef Salad with Ranch (they have the best homemade ranch dressing!). I picked it up and brought it back to work, only to find once I opened the box that they gave me the dressing for a greek salad instead of ranch....uugghh!!!
The afternoon continues and it's time for my kids class, which is supposed to start at 4:30. I have one student that missed the past two weeks show up right at 4:30 and had none of her supplies...nothing! So, I'm trying to get her caught up and at the same time get everyone else started. That's when the stress began! Then it continued as another student comes in at 5:05! 35 minutes late! Last week she got there at 5:00, and totally smelled like she had been in the tanning bed....oh gracious me! This week she told me she had a Dr. appointment....really???? I just wanted to say "You people are STRESSIN' me out!"
6:30 finally comes, class is over and amazingly they finished their project! Thank you Lord! I start making my way home and decided to call E so she could cheer me up on my ride home. She was so cute! She told me that she wanted to see me and she wanted to come to my house, etc. She was also very excited about getting to eat "orange and black" chocolate (aka Reece's pieces!). Sister gets on the phone and as I'm talking to her I look in my rear view mirror and see blue lights (gasp!) Oh my word! What do I do? I've never been pulled over before for speeding! Y'all, I always thought I would cry if it happened. So, I pulled over, rolled down my window and waited for him to come.
He walked up and asked for my license and registration. I was shaking so bad (but not crying - yay for me!) and accidentally handed him my credit card first! He asked me if I knew why he pulled me over and I told him yes, that I was speeding. Although he told me that I was going 79 in a 65 and I KNOW I was only going 75...I had the cruise control set! But, I didn't know if I could disagree with him or not so I didn't say anything. He went back to his car and I just prayed the whole time! He came back and told me that he was just going to give me a verbal warning (thank you Lord!) and to slow down from now on. Yes sir!
I finally made it home and was SO glad to see this man...
and this delicious goodness on the table...
I have the best husband! It was a perfect ending to a not so perfect day!
If you've made it this far, bless your heart and thanks for listening to me being a 'negative nelly'! I promise I'll have happier things to write about later!
