Weekend Activities

We have a had a wonderful, and busy, weekend so far! We had yet another birthday (this is the fourth birthday in three weeks between me and Chad's family) to celebrate this weekend. Our nephew turned one year old!

I was so excited to see that this had arrived on Friday...

I ordered some Avon! I know you're probably thinking that most of the people who order from Avon are at least 55...but I saw one of their catalogs from a customer and decided that I would try something. I needed a new lip liner, so I found a couple of those... then I just HAD to try a new lip gloss to go with it, and how about a nail polish too! Why not, this stuff is only like 2.99 or something! I have to say, I really like it so far!

I spent most of the day working on this for the birthday boy...

I think it turned out cute, I just hope he can wear it. I made the 18 month size so if it doesn't fit now then he will grow into it soon.

Chad and I went to eat mexican Friday night, and it was SO yummy! I got my usual (bean burrito with the cheese sauce on top) and even talked Chad into trying it too! I tried to take a picture like Kelly does, but I only had my camera phone with me. This doesn't look very appetizing (it actually looks pretty gross), but I promise you, it is DELISH! Right, Melissa? It ain't even right how good that white cheese is!

Saturday we met my sister so that we could pick up E. After a little drama at Target (sister locked her keys in her car and we had to call AAA), we made our way to the birthday party.

It was at Chad's parents house, and they have a beautiful back yard so we were taking lots of pictures.

E and Bubba

Oh, look! I see a fish!

E and NaNa

Look at that big girl swinging! She is wearing 'big girl' panties now! Can you believe it?

Time for cake! Here's the birthday boy!

Opening his presents...

We had a great time at the party and came home and crashed. E was worn out! After her nap, we shopped a little...I'll have to show ya'll later what I found. Then we went to Cracker Barrell for dinner and ran into some sweet friends that used to be in our Sunday School class. We hadn't seen them in a couple of years and didn't know they had another baby. It was so great to catch up with them! We found out that they are getting ready to move, but hopefully we can stay connected through this world wide web...she has a blog too!

I'll leave you with some funny pics of E getting ready for bed tonight. She was hiding under the pillows waiting on us to find her.

Uh-Oh! We found her!

Sleepovers are so much fun!

I hope your weekend was wonderful too!

  14. Faith, I love your names! It is my daughter's middle name.I just started reading your blog and really enjoy it. Could I ask two questions?: Where did you get your very cute shoes that are kind of an animal print? So cute! Also, what sort of tutorial would you recommend for someone who cannot sew at all? I apologize if that last question was especially silly. I want to sew things for my daughter and have found lots of books but am overwhelmed as to where to start. Any thoughts are appreciated!
