Tagged!

Nicki tagged me with this meme...so here we go!

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

I had just graduated from high school (wow! I can't believe it's been 10 years!) We had recently joined a new church, where there was a certain fella named Chad that was catching my eye!

2. My Favorite Snacks

Plain Pringles, Ripple chips and french onion dip - I could seriously eat my weight in this! And, you already know about my deep love for chocolate chip cookies!

3. Five things on my to-do list today

1. Clean my house - ugh!
2. Do the laundry
3. Upload my monogramming software that just came in
4. Come up with an order form for monogramming that shows the new fonts
5. Go and pick up E, because she is spending the whole weekend with us!!!!

4.Things I would do if I were a billionaire

Of course I would tithe majorly! I would adopt as many babies as I could! I would pay off my family's houses and any debt so they could all live debt free. I would support several families we know serving in foreign missions and pay for my friends and family to go on a mission trip. I would buy a big house in the mountains, on a lake for my family and friends to vacation at. I would travel and go on a major shopping spree! And just give, give, give!

5. Five jobs that I've had

I am pretty fortunate (or spoiled, however you want to look at it!) to have only worked part-time.

1. worked one day (pitiful, I know!) at a retirement home - let's just say that was NOT the job for me!
2. taught swim lessons for a couple of summers
3. worked in the office for a commercial builder
4. taught 4 year old pre-school
5. manager of a sewing shop and sewing class instructor

6. Five places I've lived

1. GA
2. here
3. here
4. here
5. here - not born, but raised here...this is all I've ever known!

7.Five random things people wouldn't know about me

1. I played the clarinet from 5th-10th grade. I really wanted to learn how to play the flute, but every time I tried, I got so dizzy that I felt like I would pass out...so I settled on the clarinet.
2. I am PETRIFIED of ANY kind of bug - creeping, crawling, flying, slithering. I don't even like butterflies! I'm not real big on most things outdoors, if I'm completely honest with ya!
3. I sing Alto in the choir. I learned from growing up hearing my mom sing....she has a beautiful alto voice.
4. I am pretty gullible (or I like to refer to it as innocent!) and ask some s-t-u-p-i-d questions sometimes!
5. I listen to our Fourth of July choir music on my way to work, and I seriously cry every time when I sing the songs for the different branches of the military. I hope I don't cry during the real thing!

8.Five cds that I'd have to take on a desert island

1. Celine Dion - I love to belt some of her songs, even with my little alto voice!
2. Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
3. Point of Grace
4. Monk and Neagle
5. N-Sync - I know, so cheesy...but I love it!!

9. People I tag are.........
Melissa
Jennifer
Jenny B.

  1. Hi Faith - I have seen you on several other blogs and thought I would say hi!
I too played the clarinet (6th-10th grade). Funny story: I also wanted to play the flute but couldn't ever 'get it right' I guess I was meant to be a clarinet person! :-)

  6. Enjoyed learning more about you! I love Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I saw them in person twice. Very cool.

I realize from reading this I am quite a bit older than you :( - I'm preparing for my 20 year class reunion!

  7. It's weird to realize you've been out of high school for 10 years isn't it? Ten years used to seem like an eternity! My reunion was last summer, although we weren't able to make it. Loved reading all these fun facts about you (I'm a huge Celine Dion fan, too) - thanks for sharing!

  9. How fun to learn more about you! We have many things in common, but the best is that I too LOVE Celine!! My mom got me tickets to her Vegas show when I graduated from college and I was thrilled! I can't sing whatsoever, so I always crank up the radio so I think I can hang with her :)

  10. I had forgotten about the 1 day job at the retirement home. That was definitely not the job for you! Thanks for the compliment about the alto voice. You may have just been forced to learn to sing alto after being next to such a "loud mouth" as me! LOL
    I love you,
    Mom

  16. Hey, I found your blog from Deidre at Raising Future Esthers.

I too once worked a job for just a day. It was bagging groceries. I was in college and a better job came along. I guess I could have been more mature about the whole thing. Oops.

    Great blog!
