This morning during my time alone with the Lord I was led to Matthew 8. I started reading in verse 23 where Jesus gets into a boat and His disciples go with Him. As they are out on the sea, a great storm arises and covers the boat with waves (oh my word...talk about S-C-A-R-E-D!) Jesus is sleeping through it all, and the disciples come running to Him asking Him to save them.
He gets up and says "Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?" He then speaks to the wind and the waves and they become perfectly calm! What power!
What storm are you facing right now? I know we all have one...maybe it's the uncertainty of a job, a house, finances, your health; maybe you're consumed with worry, doubt and fear; maybe you're waiting on the Lord for His answer to your prayers...whatever it is, realize that we can produce complete and utter joy in the heart of God by remaining confident in Him, in spite of what we are facing.
Father God,
I do not want to be like the disciples when the storm came in and be afraid and have little faith. I want to produce joy in Your heart by trusting You and placing my faith in You in the midst of this storm. I will believe You no matter what, and claim that Your power is great and NOTHING is impossible for You. I place my confidence in You, my Rock and my Redeemer. You are my very present help in time of need. I praise Your Matchless Name!
I am praying for each of you and the storms that you are facing. God is bigger and He is in control! Remain confident in HIM!!!

Faith,
ReplyDeleteIt was so encouraging to read this tonight! No matter what I am going through I always remind myself that God IS ALWAYS in control and He IS bigger than any problem we are facing. Thank you for reminding me of that! He will never give us more than we can handle. See you Sunday!

"remain confident". I love that word remain.....it tells me to go back and pull up all the memories when our Father has provided....come through on things....made a way. remain in what you know to be true before the "thing" happens!
ReplyDeletefaith this is wonderful!!!!!!! you have just made my head want to think on this more! WONDERFUL WORDS TODAY!
I MUST "REMAIN"
Thank you for this wonderful reminder!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for this, Faith, and for your friendship. I am so thankful for you. You bless me with your words every time!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat "word" girly! We are in the midst of a big storm right now, it seems like life has just been turned upside down and back again. But it's a walk, walk of faith day by day. =)
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post. I love that God speaks to each of us everyday in different ways. I need this reminder DAILY. It is a choice, a deliberate act. Remain confident, have the trust, have the faith! Do not waver and do not let the waves overtake!
ReplyDeleteThank you Faith!
Faith,
ReplyDeleteIt is so easy when we are in the midst of a storm, to focus on our circumstances and to lose our confidence. Thank you for this reminder to remain confident in HIM in spite of what our circumstances may be.
I love you,
Mom
