My sweet mom and dad walked down the aisle and said "I Do!"
This is a picture of them from their rehearsal dinner. Isn't my mom just beautiful? I love her dress!
She was 20 years old, the same age that I was when I got married.
Look how sweet they are!!
I am so thankful to have parents who are still married. That's something that is pretty rare these days.
31 years later...
Mom and Dad,
Happy 31st wedding anniversary! Now that I have been married for a little over eight years, I know that marriage is hard sometimes! And, I don't have three little ones to take care of either! I know that things have not always been easy and you guys have been through a lot, both good and bad, but I am so thankful that you have honored your commitment to the Lord and to each other.
I pray that the Lord would bless you both abundantly. I love you dearly and I am so proud to call you Mom and Dad!
i love that dress and that veil. she made a gorgeous bride!

ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet. God has blessed you with such sweet parents who are committed to Him and who have modeled what a good marriage is all about! Congratulations to them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiring post--what a celebration!! Congrats to them and many more years of happiness together!!
ReplyDeleteFaith,
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a beautiful tribute to your dad and me on our anniversary. You are right - we have been through a lot in the past 31 years, but, if I had it to do over, I would walk down that aisle again.
One thing that I know for sure, we would not be together today if it wasn't for our common bond with the Lord! I don't know how couples that don't share that bond can make it.
The most wonderful result of our marriage is 3 beautiful children that we couldn't love more!
Thank you again for this sweet post.
We love you,
Mom & Dad
Unfortunately it IS rare to see people stay married these days! Congrats to your parents! What a sweet couple! (I really like their daughter, too!)
