I mentioned in an earlier post that we lost power during a storm on Saturday night. E and I came home to find the lights out and didn't know what we were going to do. So we prayed and asked the Lord to please work to get the power back on, and it did come back on about 30 minutes after that. Well, when it did I said "Praise the Lord" and "Thank you Jesus for the lights". She said it too, but she repeats pretty much anything you say!
Well, my sister called me yesterday to tell me something funny that E said. They were playing in the living room and they have a timer on one of the lamps in there. The timer clicked and the lamp turned on, and E looked up and said "Thank you Jesus for the lights", "Praise the Lord"! She was listening and remembered to thank Him for the power! How cute is that!
So those of you with little eyes and ears around, be careful because they are watching, listening and learning from all that we say and do....the good and the bad!

Faith,
ReplyDeleteI am soooooo glad that you stopped by my blog. I am excited to take some time and read more about you. I find it interesting that yesterday I too did not want to do my bible study! I am in the last week of stepping up and I had this moment of....."I just don't want to talk Lord". I love how he has so much more to say to us in those moments we really don't feel like listening. He is a Good God! I am so glad that you are doing this study too! Thank you for coming over!!!
Faith,
ReplyDeleteOkay, so you just started your blog and LOOK AT IT!!! It's like the prettiest thing I've ever seen....but I'd expect no different from you! :) Love the new drapes, by the way, and what in the world are "Marlboro Man" sandwiches? Sounds like it might contain cigarettes.....:).
I left Jen a comment too...now that you two have started a blog, there goes ten more minutes of my day. Isn't it fun?
Love you!
awww, how sweet. I hope she's writing this stuff down. You forget it faster than you'd think.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely no cigarrettes involved, but I could see how you would think that! They are really yummy! The first time I made them I put WAY too much seasoned salt on them and they weren't that great. But then Chad has made them the past two times and they were much better!
