Is he not precious??? We went to pick him up yesterday from the breeder. We started our three hour journey around 8:30 in the morning and as we made our way down the interstate we saw a billboard for Popeyes Chicken....another place I've heard about in blog land!
So, we decided that we needed to stop and check out this place and have us some chicken, nevermind the fact that it was 10:00 in the morning! Now despite the fact that their name is "Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits", they have yet to figure out that if you combine the two and put the chicken ON the biscuit that it makes for a delicious breakfast snack. So, with no chicken biscuit on the menu, we decided that we would just have to get a three piece meal, with two drumsticks and a wing. Oh friends, it did not disappoint! I wish we had one closer because it was delicious!!Once we made it to the breeders house, it was time for the momma to meet her new baby....
He is such a cutie! And a playful little thing!

Look at how he has his back legs wrapped around the toy...so funny!
Y'all, it was just about more than I could take to be around all those adorable kittens! I wanted one, but I had already gotten strict instructions from the hubby that morning that went something like this....."Look at me, DO NOT COME HOME WITH A KITTEN!"....so, I knew better.
But that didn't stop me from doing some cuddlin'!
Here's one of the mommas....Cecily. If I could have taken her home with me, I would have!

We had heard about what a momma's boy Lewis was, so we were worried about taking him away from her and that he might cry the whole way home. He was such a good boy though and never made a peep in his crate the whole three hour trip back. Now, I don't know how his first night went at his new home, but I'm hoping that my parents were able to get some sleep!
We are so excited that he is home now! We all love Lewis!!
Precious! I am a total "dog person" but that kitten is a cutie!

ReplyDeleteI love cats and that one is precious! It makes me really want a cat again...too bad hubby is allergic!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww...Lewis is so cute :) I love that pic of him straddling the bowl! :) Girl, I can't believe this is the first time you've ever eaten at Popeyes! KFC is way better, but wow! :) haha...
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday!
Sorry girl, NOT a cat person at all, but have to say he's cute! But my word, I did have to take a moment when I saw the Popeye's sign! I used to live in Florida and I LOVED me some Popeye's chicken with red beans and rice. Sorry Julia I must disagree with you! I mean who can resist REAL red beans and rice, not pinto's PRETENDING to be red beans in a mushy rice pilaf mix, but REAL red beans and rice!! Oh child, my mouth is watering!!! hahaha Thanks for taking me back! haha See ya.

I must admit I'm more of a dog person, but that little guy melted my heart. His eyes are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on eating at Popeye's! Aren't their biscuits are the best?!
Hey! I linked over here from Kelly's Korner. Just wanted to say Hi! I loved your weekend getaway pics! You guys looked like you had the best time! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAdorable kitten!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have known you would stop by Popeyes. I would highly HIGHLY recommend their red beans and rice. I absolutely love them!!!
How precious!! He looks so soft, I just wanted to reach out and pet him!
ReplyDeleteTotally not a cat person, either. In fact, when I was in high school I tried to shoot one out of a tree with my bb gun. I would NEVER do that now! But I'm gonna have to say, he sure is cute....especially with those little legs sprawled around that toy! Little Lewis...a cute little name for a cute little kitty!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute story about his name! I'm not much for cats since I'm allergic, but if I was, that's a really cute cat!! I'm glad you got to go with your mom!
