we were in Salt Lake City, Utah for the International Quilt Market. I got to go with the owners of my store to the quilt market to buy fabric and see all kinds of neat things. It has definitely been one of the coolest things about my job. Teaching pre-school before this, there weren't many "perks", so this was the first time I got to travel for work and it was so much fun.
Chad went with me and hung out and played golf while we were at the market. Although, he totally should have packed ski clothes because it snowed three of the four days we were there. Umm...yeah, we did not pack accordingly! It was snowing when we landed and we thought it was going to be in the 50's and 60's!
This was the highlight of the trip for me - meeting Amy Butler! (she is very tall)
Her booth was awesome!
We also met Heather Bailey, who is another fabric designer.
The mountains of NC, although pretty, do not EVEN compare to what we saw out there. They were absolutely gorgeous! I would love to have views like that everyday (although I wouldn't want to put up with all the cold and snow!)
God has created such beauty for us to behold. I am just amazed!
This year the quilt market is in Portland, Oregon but we are not going. That's okay though, I have great memories from a wonderful trip that I was so blessed to be a part of! Thanks for sharing in what we were up to last year at this time!
So funny to see you met Heather Bailey. I've read her blog for over a year and it is so neat! Looks like you had wonderful time and the scenery was beautiful!

I didn't want to sign up for a monogrammed towel so that someone else might have a chance to win, but they sure are cute. It's really sweet the way that you supported Kelly.
