Take me out

to the ballgame.

Softball game that is. This weekend while Chad and the guys from SS were on a men's river trip, I hung out with Jen and the kids Friday night. We went to Becca's softball game, and it was so much fun! I was so proud of her and the awesome ball player she is!

Check out this cutie....

And, how much do I love that she has a ribbon in her hair??? I'm tellin' ya, she's a girl after my own heart! Love her!

She can play some softball too! She hit the ball every time she was up to bat, and made some great plays. Here she is on first base after getting a hit.

It must run in the family, because little Hayes can hit the ball too!

I love that he is wanting to be my buddy now when we're around each other. He used to be all about Chad, but lately he will ask me to sit beside him, or hold his hand....and let me tell you, I just eat it up! Is he not the cutest?

The Green Machine won their game, and then we made a 'run for the border'. It was such a fun night hangin' with my friends!

Today I went and hung out with my mom and dad. They had a delicious brunch ready for me when I got there (am I spoiled or what!) and I enjoyed every bite. My mom and dad can cook, and they make some scrumptious meals. After I stuffed myself, we walked around Birkdale and did some window shopping. It was a GORGEOUS day to be outside! There was a little singing contest for young girls that they were doing out there. It was called 'Journey to the Stars'....kind of like an American Idol thing with judges, etc. Anyway, there was a little girl who was probably around 10 or 11 that was on stage singing a Carrie Underwood song...bless her heart! She was doing okay, I guess....but the funny thing is my mom looked at me and said "oh boy...can you imagine if they had this when you were that age? You would have been right there on that stage!" And y'all, it's true, I would have been all about it!

Now we're home and having a sleepover with our favorite girl ever! Two weeks is too long without a sleepover, so this is one happy NaNa and Bubba tonight! Here's a little video of this funny and smart girl. We just love her to pieces!

FYI: the birthday boy was 'Christopher' in case you didn't catch that either!

Good night y'all!
